Delish pocket-friendly Hawker Vegetarian Food

Heard about their famous Kway Chap and finally make time to come. Didn't know it is only available on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday. Ended up ordering the Friday's special - Vegetarian Bak Chor Mee ($3), it is delicious.

Very friendly customer service.

Famous kway chap

Out of curiosity, came to figure out why does the kway chap here so famous. I'm not a big fan of kway chap, only ate less than 10 kway chap so far, and i don't eat mei-cai (the preserved mustard greens), so every time i will told them just skip the mei-cai, but since the kway chap here is so famous and super long queue, i might as well just have the full set, easier for them to prepare.

For me their kway chap is light yet tasty, naturally seasoned and well balanced in taste, to my surprise their mei-cai is good and i like it, not overwhelmed, other ingredients are well prepared too, the popiah is delicious as well, fried wan ton tastes normal, finally i eat mei-cai, haha.

Kway Chap

Tian Yi vegetarian serves one of the better vegetarian Kway Chap in Singapore. The stall is separated to two sides, one handling the daily Specials while the other side attends to the economy rice/ beehoon orders. Do expect a queue during Sat (as for weekends, they are only open on Sat)

Pros: Value for money

Best Kway chup in Singapore

Most amazing kway chup ever. Came here almost every week! Try it you will never regret! One of the best things in my life! No other stalls in sg beats this kway chup(tue, thu &sat only). Nasi lemak is not bad either but only in Wednesday’s.

Pros: Everything is vegan, Value for money

Cons: Long queues!, Forget about the other dishes

Great!

The best Lor Mee I’ve ever tried is from this stall! For $3 (upsized, original at $2.50), you’ll get a bowl of piping hot vegan Lor Mee topped generously with ingredients like coriander, shiitake mushrooms, red cut chilli, peanuts, mock char siew and vege goose cracker. Slight herbal flavour to it which I love

Lor Mee is part of their daily specials, only available on Wednesdays.

Affordable kway chap in the heartlands

I remember having their kway chap when I first started my veg*n journey back in 2009 and I think their price ($2.50 a set for dine-in) has remained the same up till this day!

A number of vegetarians have deemed this stall's kway chap to be the best in Singapore. Their kway chap is extremely light tasting and I can see why it is such a popular breakfast item among the elderly and ladies. Personally, I prefer my kway chap to have stronger flavours. Their kway (broad rice sheets) is the star of the dish here, it is easily the best I had before.

Take note that there are 2 separate queues. The queue on the left is for veg beehoon and other dishes, the one on the right is solely for kway chap only.

Pros: Cheap, Light - perfect for breakfasts

Cons: Long queue for kway chap, Quite difficult to get seats

Best vegetarian kway chap in SG

Finally tried what is hailed by some to be the best vegetarian kway chap in Singapore, & I gotta say that it lives up to the hype :D Really like the herbal-ish soup & the kway chap which had a unique ricey taste to it, unlike the more kway-teow-like texture which is more commonly found from other stalls. Also appreciated how the mock intestines weren’t all na-here’s-gluten-in-your-face which is kinda common for veg. kway chap; instead it had a softer and somehow more pleasant bite :P As for their soy stuffs (tau pok & tau kwa aka fried beancurd skin & branched respectively), their outsides were actually still a lil’ crispy oh my :O It really says a lot about how fresh their food is :O Liked how the tau kwa was the perfect balance between soft & firm and liked how they added another dimension to the whole dish by including soft mei cai (preserved vegetables) & crisp and crunchy fresh cabbage shreds as well 😋

Pros: Best kway chap

Super fast service despite long queue and really good food

The kway chap was Super soft and nice. The taukwa, dougan and something else (looked like pig’s intestine but it’s not obviously haha) served on the side was damn good especially the taukwa, very bouncy 😍 Super worth it for $2.50 plus it’s filling. Din really like the chilli tho, it was not spicy enough for me and had a weird after taste. But the kway chap overall was DELICIOUS. Lives up to the standards of SG authentic hawker food; cheap and good

Pros: fast service despite long queue, delicious, cheap

Cons: chilli not nice
