A finer restaurant but with medium price point. Dishes are mostly vegan apart from a couple with egg. Accepts WeChat pay. Directions: take taxi to Guanren temple, and the restaurant will be directly opposite the temple. Open Mon-Sun 10:00am-9:00pm. Has an afternoon break - please confirm hours.

Vegan Buddhist fare - Edit
This is a very convenient place to grab an early dinner before walking along the Xi'an walls as the sun sets.
Read moreThe food was not our favourite - you really miss the "five sins" when they are not there. Everything we had was quite plain but definitely filling and healthy.

Amazing food and lovely staff - Edit
Enjoyed this dinner a lot! We first clarified that we don't eat milk and egg, they responded that they don't cook with either. So not sure if there are dishes that contain egg at all (see description on happy cow).
Read moreThe staff showed us different dishes on an ipad and highlighted their signature dishes (they didn't point at the expensive ones but even said don't take this it's too expensive). We had tofu rolls with something green inside (cactus?) and seasoned with sichuan pepper. Then a spicy "fish" pot with mushroom, tofu and cabbage (loved it!). As well as noodle soup, rice and black tofu (try this if you're curious, tastes eggy, I liked it a lot, my boyfriend not that much). It was too much food but all in all awesome to have such diversity during a meal.

ok - Edit
The food was ok, the waitress recommended some dishes that were awful ( and pricey) , I enjoyed some dishes, but nothing really memorable, it also serves as a tea house , and there were some people smoking in the that area, which was very near to the tables.

Impressive Buddhist Vegan Food - Edit
I arrived at this place late in the evening as the staff were cleaning up and eating their own dinner but they were still happy to serve me and made me feel welcome. Staff showed me a menu on an iPad and went on to recommend particular dishes (the most expensive ones!) I scaled back a bit but overall they were very helpful and the food was excellent. I accepted the suggestion of some kind of rolls stuffed with crunchy green vegetables and had some greens and rice on the side. It was all delicious and not too oily. Would love to visit this place again and try more dishes.

Nice restaurant - Edit
This restaurant ( Chinese 安多素食) is a really good choice to go! We combined it with the nice and relaxed small temple on the opposite side of the street.
