Delicious lunch

Went here for lunch and had the vegan pork rice and a bahn mi. Both were super delicious and the staff was friendly. There was also an English menu available. The bahn mi can be found under French bread. Make sure to ask for no eggs / milk when ordering. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very peaceful. Payment in cash.

Pros: Friendly staff, Relaxed atmosphere, Tasty food.

Delicious dishes

Fresh ingredients and some nice food discoveries for me. Worth the short walk to get there from the station.

Pros: English menu available

Good food, good vibes

Went for an afternoon lunch on a weekday. We ordered a hotpot and some other dishes to go along with it and the food was really delicious. The restaurant is simply decorated with soft instrumental music in the background. Service wasn't the best due to the staff simply being very busy with takeaway orders. Overall, a great experience at a very reasonable price.

Pros: Everything is vegan unless otherwise labeled

Pleasant surprise

I had recently been scarred by a terrible experience looking for a place to have lunch in nearby Fuli, but it turns out that Yuli is much more happening and had a number of different veg*n restaurants to choose from. This place had a fairly high average rating on Google, so I decided to give it a shot.

We had a slight shuffling between tables because seating is limited and a larger party came in after we were seated at one of the few six-tops, but other than that, the logistics of our lunch went well.

My (omni) parents were impressed with the quality and value the chef delivered. (He’s originally from Vietnam, has eaten vegetarian his whole life, and has lived in Taiwan for 22 years.) We enjoyed the savory rice pudding, dumplings, wontons, and noodles in sesame sauce very much! The “fish” sauce that came with the spring rolls could have been a bit more flavorful. The licorice dried bean curd packed a punch. But I think the vegan beef noodle soup wasn’t anything like its eponymous omni counterpart. I think its Chinese name should have been cinnamon noodles instead, just as the English menu called them.

It got very busy after 1pm on a Wednesday. Also, it’s rare to find a veg*n restaurant in Taiwan that stays open between the lunch and dinner hours. I’d recommend this place even if it’s a 15-minute walk from the train station: they’ll make it worth your while!

Pros: almost all vegan, excellent quality and value
