Vegan and gluten free Galettes - Edit
The standard Galettes they make have milk and eggs, but they can make vegan versions with just the buckwheat flour, salt and water. The menu has twi options that are clearly marked as vegan - we had the one with ratatouille and it was really tasty.

100% authentic french cuisine & ambience. The menu has 2 vegan options but almost every dish can be made with vegan dough. Just ask for vegan options and the friendly staff will help you out.

I first didn't want to go bc of the low vegan variety. I have to admit tho, you definitely should check it out! The food is sophisticated and tastes amazing and the ambiente is unbelievably beautiful (especially outside)!!! A must-visit!

AMAZING galletes & crêpes - Edit
Ever since Ti Breizh introduced a few explicitly vegan options to their menu as well as the possibility to veganise a lot of the sweet crêpes with either gallete dough or vegan crêpe dough, I've been even more of a fan of this authentic Breton restaurant. The location is really scenic in Hamburg's old town and staff is very attentive. The dishes aren't cheap but with one hearty gallete and a starter or desert, you'll be completely stuffed.

Ti Breizh offers savoury or sweet gallettes and sweet crepes. Only for the gallettes they also have a vegan dough. There are 2 savoury vegan gallettes on the menu (one with artichoke and one with ratatouille). I also managed to get a sweet one with orange jam, but it was a bit difficult because it is not on the menu. Food is good, location is excellent, the lady who I think is the owner wasn‘t very accommodating or friendly, rest of the staff was alright. Portions are rather small. As milk-alternative they only have rice milk... Would go again but don't consider it very vegan-friendly.

All I can say is that I totally fell in love with this place!
Read moreBefore I went there, I was a bit skeptical because their website doesn't mention the two vegan gallets (or I didn't find it), so when I entered, I asked the man at the counter about them and he explained everything to me in a very friendly and welcoming way.
The restaurant was totally crowded, but the interior is so nice and relaxing that I didn't feel stressed at all, it was just very cozy and pleasant.
As mentioned before, there are those two vegan gallets. There is one with vegan cheese and another one with artichokes, salad and two different jams made of red onions and other ingredients, as well as some little cheese as well. I chose the latter one and it tasted really well. I really liked that it was something totally different, something I have never eaten before and a real change to the usual vegan dishes offered in most restaurants. My drink was a rhubarb spritzer which was so refreshing and tasty.
Service was very friendly and also quick although the restaurant was so crowded. The location is good as well, close to the harbour, Landungsbrücken and Speicherstadt, so you can easily have lunch there while exploring this beautiful part of the city.
Altogether, this was like a short trip to Brittany, and I can't wait to have a meal there again!

Lovley small restaurant with french flair. It is located to a small river where you can sit outside. I tried one of the vegan Galletts with fresh atichokes and vegan cheese. Yummy!
