New Menu 2022

New Chef, new menu. Some of the long standing veg appetizers are still on the menu. I liked the Nopalitos a lot which is good as it was my only entree option. Ordered a delicious side of Black Beans to get some protein. I wish there was as many vegetarian protein options for the tacos as there are for the meat versions. Thats a larger issue in the restaurant industry though.

Pros: Still some vegetarian appetizers , Nopalitos tacos and black beans, Outdoor seating

Cons: Lack of vegetarian protein options, Outdoor seating goes fast

Lots of vegan options

Most of the items on the menu have a vegan option. They have a happy hour and few different food specials - I got the two hotdogs with fries or tater tots. It was the Upton’s Natural “Updog” which I like. The toppings were unique/delicious. The buffalo cauliflower and general Tso cauliflower wings were also good.

Three Sheets is the only bar in New Haven I'd recommend if you wanted a meal with your drink

Really I did enjoy the impossible burger and seasoned fries with a nice cold beer. If you're going out with non-vegans for some beers and you're expecting to be hungry, it could be a good choice! I'd give it a 3.5 if I could but its closer to a 3 than a 4.

We were excited to order from this restaurant. On a Saturday evening around 7 they were out of many items. All of our items had something wrong with them. Fries were overcooked, dry and tasteless, the bang mi was all bread and very little vegetables, the vegan steak and cheese was smothered in the sauce and the Seitan was dry.
Also, food took over an hour to be ready.

Pros: Choice of several vegan options

Cons: Flavorless, Overcooked

solid bar spot with lots of options

three sheets is hip dive bar that is really popular with locals. the menu is very vegan-friendly. there are a lot of options here, and they extend beyond the conventional vegan fare. the chefs here are creative and make a lot of things from scratch, which is always a plus.

the food is pretty tasty but i don't find myself eating here very often, mostly for two reasons: the prices are too high and the bar is often packed and noisy, leading to long waits.

overall, this is a fine spot to eat and a good spot to drink but it wouldn't necessarily be the first spot i recommended in new haven. i come here most often to see bands play, as the shows are always free and are often interesting.

Pros: lots of options, scratch-made food, lots of drink options

Cons: high prices, long waits, not open for lunch

Food and service not so great

I had a bad experience here service-wise. Everyone's food took so long to get, and they forgot my order. I took it to-go after I reminded them I had placed it almost an hour before. When I got it, and ate in immediately, it was soggy, the bread was poor quality, and the mayo was supposed to be vegan, but it didn't taste right to me. Maybe I went on an off night, other people have good experiences. However, because of the food quality I would not return.

Amazing food!

I had the General Tso’s cauliflower and was absolutely blown away. Some A level vegan cuisine in a great small bar atmosphere. Great beers on tap too.
