Best pancakes and awesome local tea - Edit
We came here on a rainy morning and this visit brightened our day quite a bit. I want to start with my one and only complaint which is that I wished they had more vegan options but I ordered a hummus veggie sandwich which was one of the best I've ever had. Usually these sandwiches are uninspired and on toast. This one was fantastic on fresh beautiful bread. My husband ordered the pancakes and maintains that this was the best pancake he has ever had! I loved the little things like the fruit not only being really fresh but including rasberries (where does that happen?!?) and the fact that their tea is local and the earl grey has not flavoring but is made with real bergamot oil (sorry, tea snob ;) Lastly, the staff is super sweet! Thanks for turning our day around.

Doesn’t Deserve Listing Here - Edit
In Charleston and looking at vegan restaurants but came here and there are no entrees that are vegan. Tofu Scramble showed eggs as first ingredient… really?! Maybe it qualified for Happy Cow at one time but the menu doesn’t reference being at all accommodating to vegans.

The one time I went here after going vegan (2014 or 15 I think) I asked about vegan options ten different ways and they still put bacon in my home fries....at least they don't pretend to have vegan omelettes anymore, I never believed them

Cute place, but NO to veggie burger - Edit
Veggie burger wasn’t great unfortunately. Just smashed cannellini beans and black beans. No flavor.

Delicious and great ambiance - Edit
My boyfriend and I love this place! I have a dairy/coconut allergy and there is something for both of us here! There is usually a wait, but there is plenty of things to do in the area. Staff is so friendly and nice and the ambiance is so quaint and relaxing. Love it!

Nope - Edit
Never going back there. Hardly any vegan options, asked the waitress what could be made vegan and she suggested the Birdhouse Burrito, on the menu it has vegan ingredients, it shows up on our plate filled with cheese.

Tofu scramble is great! - Edit
So they don’t have a ton of vegan options for breakfast, a lot more than can be made vegetarian. I did their tofu scramble without eggs and added black beans and potatoes and it delicious! Their smoothies also a lot of vegan options and they have soy milk and almond milk sub options.

Always check! - Edit
Very cute little restaurant; has a few vegetarian and vegan options; lists vegan cheese as a substitute or addition right on the menu however when we said that there was a dairy allergy we were told there was lactose in the vegan cheese therefore it wasn’t actually vegan! Also if you are concerned about cross contamination you must ask how things are prepared - the vegan tofu scramble was apparently done in a separate pan but the home fries as a side option for it would be done on the griddle and they offered to clean that section of the griddle first. I opted for fruit as the side because of that. I am glad they were honest about the status of what was vegetarian vs vegan but concerned that it appeared it would not have been divulged had I not indicated the allergies.

Ate here twice on vacation - Edit
Had the Three bird burrito both times I went! I added vegan cheese the second time, and it was fantastic. It filled me up for several hours. The staff was so nice, too! Definitely recommend hitting this place up.

In a Pinch... - Edit
Three Little Birds is a great restaurant for vegans in a pinch. It is tucked away in a heavenly, quiet corner. The vibe is relaxed and inviting. They have a few menu items that are vegan but they usually lack flavor. If you need something in a hurry, it is a great backup plan, especially for the yummy smoothies!

Cute cafe on James Island near Earth Fare - Edit
This cafe is a little hard to find but very cute. Family friendly. They have a lot of vegetarian options available and some can be made vegan. For example, I usually eat the Black Bean Benedict but substituting avocado for the eggs and skipping the sour cream. Comes with potatoes and is filling and tasty. They also have fresh pressed juices.

Wish they were open for dinner - Edit
I have been here two or three times, they have a few veg options to choose from. I have had a black bean wrap and the bbq tempeh sandwich. Both were really good. A great place for lunch or breakfast, but I wish they were also open for dinner, since that is when we normally go out to eat.

Cute/Casual atmosphere - Edit
While the vegan/vegetarian options aren't vast here, it is a good option for vegans in the Charleston area. The atmosphere is very casual & cute. The servers are friendly and we felt right at home. The resteraunt offers fresh juices and you can subsitute soy milk or soy jogurt in any of the smoothies. There are several vegan sandwiches on the menu and you can add tofu or fake meats to the salads. The only disappointment was that they only offered one vegan option on their brunch menu (Tofu scramble). Service is fast and the food is cheap.
