Beautiful location with separate vegan menu - Edit
I was so excited that there was a whole separate vegan menu here! All of the waiters are well versed in veganism so no awkward misunderstandings, and lots of options on the menu. Super quick service, the food was okay but authentic Greek which made it even better. Definitely worth a visit.

Vegan Gyros & friendly staff - Edit
We asked for vegan options and were given a separate vegan menu. The staff was friendly and there were plenty of choices. The food was good, but nothing special. The gyros came with a sweet and sour sauce, which didn’t really go well with it. We also had hummus, which was tasty. The vegan meatballs (also with sweet and sour sauce) weren’t really our thing.

We ordered a few starters (eggplant salad and pastries as well as the vegan meatballs) my husband who’s a meat eater loved the meatballs and I got the vegan gyros plate and it was all so yummy! (I did order hummus to go with my gyros plate as well)

Delicious vegan Greek food and great staff - Edit
We’re in Kardamena at the moment and I was thrilled to see that Thomas Grill and Mezze offered not just vegan options, but has a separate vegan menu (albeit it does list honey as an ingredient on one of the salads, but most of their understanding is sound).
Read moreI had the houmous (the waiter said the vegan menu came with grilled bread, but the pitta was also vegan should I wish to have that instead, would recommend this option) courgette fritters and the Gyros all of which were delicious. My only gripe is that I think they could have offered a vegan Tzatziki for the gyros or a dip which would really have made an already fantastic meal even better. My husband isn’t vegan, and although he did not eat vegan here he did also enjoy his food if anyone like me has an omni partner to also please.
Prices were reasonable, and portions incredibly generous. Highly recommend if you are in the vicinity of Kardamena.
If you are set on going here either go early or book a table, we were fortunate to get the last unreserved table on a Friday night and they were busy - a testament to the good food and service.
They also have a cat food donation point just outside set up by the staff to feed the cats in the winter when there are no tourist scraps to scavenge!

You should go to Thoma Grill when you visit Kardamena. You get typical Greek dishes in vegan. Personally I would give this restaurant 5 ⭐. The waiter speaks fluent English.

You have to ask for the vegan menu, it doesn‘t come with the regular one. The selection is great, you have a variety of meals to choose from. The service was good and we didn‘t wait too long to get drinks and foods. The prices are fair as well. I had the vegan pizza and liked it very much😄

After I read all those good ratings I really wanted to visit this place - I’m so glad I did. Every vegetarian and vegan food is clearly labelled each and there’s a whole extra vegan menu you can ask the staff for. I had some really tasty vegan chicken souvlaki (never have I ever been offered this before!). It’s a bit more expensive than other “usual” Greek taverns, but that’s definitely worth it. Tip: Try the peach ice tea!

We couldn’t believe our luck when stumbling upon the Thomas Grill/Skala restaurant. We were greeted with a vegan menu and very kind staff who understood our dietary requirements. We went twice it was so good! We 100% recommend!

We stumbled across this place as we were looking for a different restaurant and glad we did - it had a vegan menu with lots of classic Greek dishes veganised! We both had the vegan gyros, as unfortunately the ingredients for the Spetsofai were not available on the day of our visit. Would love to go back and try the other dishes
