Very elegant vegan ice cream - Edit
Just so you know : the flowers themselves aren't made of ice cream, they're actually flavored white bean paste (yes, it's vegan). I love white bean paste, so I was pleasantly surprised to find it on top of the ice cream.

I got the limited seasonal Ajisai, and it was really good. However, there is only one vegan ice cream flavor available, and it's matcha. I'm not a huge fan of matcha, but there aren't any other vegan options.
The flowers themselves are prepared in advance, but the staff finish decorating the dessert in front of you by piping more bean paste onto the ice cream and adding silver sugar decoration.
It is a bit expensive (¥1,850), but I can understand why considering how detailed and carefully crafted it is.
The shop itself is really nice. It has a very earthy and natural atmosphere, with lots of wood and greenery.

They have a vegan option but it costs 500 yen more. 2350 Yen in total for one vegan ice cream is harsh. Bit tastes good and looks beautiful. Once in a lifetime experience

The ice creams are quite expensive but I do think you pay for what you get. They are very beautifully done and tasty too - you almost felt bad eating it tho as it’s so pretty 😂🙈 note - the bouquets are only at thisis shizen. Thisis nature no longer does them (they do lil ice cream tubs with a couple flowers tho)

I ordered the Kyoto Autumn special bouquet, and clarified if it was vegan. After first answering yes, the staff member then hesitated and said she could swap put the vanilla ice cream for strawberry sorbet. A second staff member repeated this, so I said yes, please do so. Definitely worth double checking if you come here!!
