Young dude putting on my plate the com chay items had a cigarette in his mouth. The place hasn't had a good clean in years. All the signage is so faded you almost can't read the writing. Each aluminum table with old plastic chairs around them had dishes waiting to be cleaned up, but in the meantime flies are feasting on the leftovers.
Read moreThe com chay selection had many oil soaked cheap fake meats. The main ingredients of these fake meats are three key ingredients: cheap oil,MSG and flour and then food colouring for added effects. The limited amount of vegetables are over boiled and so over boiled in fact, that no nutrients are left in them. I had bitter gourd on my plate. Normally I hate this vegetable, but because it was so over boiled it tasted like a hard cucumber!
Menu in Vietnamese only. Be prepared for locals to stare at you and use Google translate to speak to you whilst smoking cigarettes next to you.
I love places like this! Perfect Saigon! My food was 20.000 Dong.
