Pad Thai had fishy taste

I ordered for delivery, pad Thai no egg
Luckily it came without egg but had a fish sauce taste. I didn’t make a specific request to not include fish sauce, but with many vegan restaurants in Marin that specify clearly what’s vegan, don’t think this one is worth it

Great Thai food

We really enjoyed our food at this Thai restaurant. We ordered everything so it was vegan (with tofu and veggies) and tried the peanut curry, Panang curry, green curry and pad thai. Also ordered a Thai ice tea with coconut milk. Everything was delicious! The atmosphere was also very pleasant and they had huge windows open so there was a nice breeze. Overall it was a great experience.

Pros: Nice atmosphere , Great food!

Spicy Eggplant with Tofu

The amount of spice/heat is just right. I was reluctant to try it because I thought that it might be mixed with fish sauce. The restaurant explained that many of the curry dishes had fish sauce, but they could make other dishes vegan. The first time I tried the eggplant dish, there was a slight hint of fish sauce in only the first bite, which may have been from the pan. The second time I ordered the eggplant, I asked if they cooked vegan dishes in pans that had fish sauce, and they assured me that they made it fresh, completely vegan. The second time, the dish was great, without any taste of fish. I'm very sensitive to the flavor, so believe I would not have been able to eat the meal had there been fish sauce. (I gagged after smelling, then biting into a bánh mì from Berkeley Bowl that was supposed to be vegan. It took me forever to recover.) Obviously, I prefer all-vegan restaurants where there's reduced risk of cross-contamination. But I do think this restaurant makes a sincere effort to give you vegan food.

Pros: Great eggplant tofu dish., Friendly staff who know the word vegan.

Cons: Could use more vegan dishes on the menu., Chance of exposure to fish sauce, animal products.

NOT VEGAN

I asked the owner and the curries are premade with fish sauce. The only vegan entree available was stirfried vegetables with a side of white rice.

Pros: Cute decor

Cons: Not vegan friendly
