Delicious vegan icecream! - Edit

What a cute small vegan place in Valletta! Totally run into it when just walking around. Also offers more than icecream - cakes, little sweet snack and fudges etc. Recommending!

Pros: brownies, fudges, nut butters, icecream, cakes

Yummy Vegan Desserts - Edit

We went to Theobroma a total of four times and would have probably come more often had it not been closed a few of the times we were in Valletta.

All the ladies that work there are very friendly and patient when explaining what Theobroma offers. The place is very small, and there is only one small table to sit outside, but the variety is pretty great for such a small place.

I tried three different milkshakes which I was not that excited about and a peanut butter cup and a bounty bar which were nice, but not the reason I ended up loving this place so much. However, the pistachio fudge is heavenly. I love pistachios, but sadly, there are not many desserts being made with them, so if you remotely like the taste of pistachios you will love the pistachio fudge as much as I did.

Theobroma also sells several nut butters and chocolates which they all make themselves.

Pros: Friendly staff, All vegan

Cons: Only one small table outside

All delicious. All reasonably priced. All vegan. We went there several times throughout our trip. And terrific service. The desserts are also quite unique. Lucama. Maca. Gluten-free. Highly recommended, vegan or not!

One of the best places to go as a vegan - Edit

So many options to choose from it makes it difficult. We ordered 3 delicious bars and cakes, they were absolutely great, toungemeltingly good. I was afraid we would want to order too much to try everything but you feel full and satisfying afterwards, no craving for more, no sugar rush or anything. Pure quality bakery. Good drinks too. 10/10 would come back.

Pros: All vegan

Cons: No cons except it doesn't exist in my home cou

Best Place in Malta! - Edit

Shamefully Theobroma is the only eatery in Malta I'd be excited to visit again. Even though it's slightly outdated with many raw vegan options, it's okay because the food actually tastes good.

As far as I know it's the only fully vegan place in Malta, which usually means it's a haven for veggies everywhere even if the food was bland. Luckily this isn't the case. My meat-eating mum was impressed with the peanut slice and home made chocolate bars. I got white chocolate with pistachio and salted dark chocolate. Both were delicious!

The take out cups were biodegradable and the staff were very friendly, asking us where we were heading afterwards and suggested eating lunch at 'The Grassy Hopper' - even if this is their sister cafe, it's nice that they told us about other places to eat vegan in their non-vegan city.

Pros: Friendly staff, Tasty food, plenty of choice

Cons: only a bakery, kind of pricey

friendly service - Edit

We were told they sold vegan Magnums and were amazed as we didn't know they existed. We ordered a hazelnut magnum and a double choc magnum, however when they were given to us we realised they were shop made and not actually magnums. So really they should find another way to describe them to avoid disappointment.
The ice creams were more like ice than ice cream and I wouldn't buy them again.
Also quite expensive at over 3 euros each

Pros: friendly service, always happy to support an all vegan establishment

Cons: expensive
