Whether on a beguiled boat, in a child's coat, or writing a styled note, always remember to eat from...

Generally not open during dinner hours. Paid street parking hit or miss.

Excellent sandwiches & more

The only brick and mortar vegan restaurant in Bham doesn’t disappoint. We had a monster breakfast burrito, an apple and Gouda grilled cheese, and a smoked turkey sandwich made as a wrap. The food was all very tasty, moderately good size, and prepared fresh. The owner and server were very friendly and offered suggestions for other places to eat while we’re here since they’re not open at dinner time. Pastries were also delicious.

Pros: All good, all vegan options , Environmental message & art, Friendly staff & owner

Cons: Only open for lunch

The best!

Eating here is like if you had a vegan mother who just LOVES to cook for you (and is good at it) and is always happy to see you and stuff your face whenever you pop in. I love coming here whenever we are in Bellingham. Never disappoints!

Woman chef and owner

Cozy, comfortable and counter service, with indoor seating and a few tables outside. We had the BLT and the soup of the day, chili. The BLT is made with large crumbled coconut bacon and a large portion. The crunch of the bacon is what makes it great. Chili was good and served with a “buttery” bread that was tasty.

We also had a classic grilled cheese, with a side of Au Jus for dipping. Grilled cheese was light on cheese and the Au Jus was fabulous. One of the best vegan Au Ju’s I have had.

Delicious vegan food in Bellingham

Cute little spot in Bellingham. Typical vegan spot - kinda pricy and super slow service but decent food.
We had the philly cheesesteak, turkey club and Asian salad.
Cheesesteak was a little light on onions and peppers but pretty good. Rest were quite tasty.

Not too far from the Interstate

Stopped by this place on my way to Canada. I appreciate this vegan cafe being near the interstate, so I can simply get off for a bit and easily get back on. Most of vegan restaurants tend to be out of the way. This one is in its downtown, so expect to pay for parking, but it’s not anything expensive. Ordered the Reuben, which is usually my must order vegan item. The Reuben sandwich itself isn’t bad, but placing a bag of chips on top of a greasy meal is a no-no. Would be nice if I could have pickle spears instead. Interesting city, especially the Whatcom house. Definitely worth the slight detour.

Great sandwiches!

The turkey cranberry sandwich was so good! Smoky, sweet, great umami and the portion was just right. So glad we found this gem on our travels.

Cute stop

The food here is pretty good, just a little small for the price personally. Tasted good though! Cute little cafe. You can hear the puppies barking beside the whole time which we thought was cute but could get old

I really tried to retrain my taste buds to appreciate authentically vegan/veg in nature. However, sometimes you just want a but or Ruben sandwich imitation. And the wild oat does an amazing job with recreation of the classics! Great cheesecake, too!

Love an all-vegan spot

Everything was very tasty! I had split pea soup that I very much enjoyed and my partner loved his breakdown burrito.

Cons: Not really anything soy-free

Amazing and Delicious Vegan Cafe

We drive over two hours from our home on the south end of Whidbey Island to go to Bellingham for breakfast at the Wild Oat before heading off to do other errands. We could run errands closer to home, but this little cafe has delicious vegan food and there isn't any place like it near us, so we make an adventure. We've had the pancakes, meatball sandwich, cinnamon rolls, cookies, tuna sandwich, the list goes on and on. It's a small place with only two employees (one that takes the order and one that creates the food) so be patient, it's worth the wait. These ladies do a wonderful job. We've only had great food and wonderful experiences while dining. And we always take a few cinnamon rolls to go for the next day.

Pros: Delicious food, Kind and friendly staff, Cozy setting

Cons: Sorry, nothing to say here.

Delicious. Great gf options.

Loved this place. Had Gf BLT and my kids the GF grilled cheese. My non vegan parents liked their sandwiches and soup as well. Good service, very kind.

Quaint spot, all vegan!

Great service, flavorful food, 💯 vegan. Baked goods too! We tried the Rueben (requested extra sauerkraut based on a previous review) and split pea soup. Both had side salads. The greens were basic but decent. The bread was very yummy. Would definitely go again! I really want to try their breakfast menu. My only complaint would be the dog smell. I’m not a dog person and it was def. noticeable.

Pros: 💯 vegan!, Fab lookin breakfast menu , Tasty eats

Cons: Canine aromas , Street parking

Love this place, not to big menu but plenty of choices. They make a lot of their menu items in house. Nice flavors and lots of fresh veggies. Awesome service!

Good food

Got the pancakes and they were very good, nice and fluffy and buttery. the breakfast burrito and tostadas were also good. only complaint is the dogs barking next door, was quite loud since there is an adoption agency right next to the place, the service was very friendly and little slow but food was great

Pros: All Vegan, Friendly Service

Perfect Cafe Fare

So many things to rave about- quality and variety of baked goods, great soup and satisfying sandwiches! Stand-outs so far have been an incredible portobello sandwich, Reuben, carrot-ginger soup, tomato soup and berry muffins! Oh and their Caesar salad dressing is so tasty! Please support this fully vegan restaurant so they can continue to show the community how great vegan food can be!!

Excellent breakfast and pastries

Tried for the first time and I hope it won’t be the last because I heard they’re selling. Here’s hoping if they do the menu stays the same 🤞🤞.
The pancakes are huge and so good. The tofu in the breakfast sandwich and burrito is seasoned and cooked to perfection and so we’ll put together.

Excellent lunch!

Hubby had the Reuben on sourdough, which was letter-perfect: good balance of thin sliced veg beef and sauerkraut, melted cheese, sourdough rye grilled to crispy goodness. I know because I helped him eat it! My chickpea tuna sandwich tasted so fresh, like I was having a sandwich made by a friend who knows how to make a good one. Just good and light. Side salads fresh. Two thumbs up!

Nice breakfast stop!

Front staff were extremely friendly and service was fast. Price seemed reasonable for portion/quality.

We ordered the Breakfast sandwich with scrambled tofu, melted cheese and coconut bacon (added extra) and a cream cheese bagel. Sandwich was one of the best I’ve tasted.

Purchased caramel cake, brownie and a huge cupcake to go. All were amazing and a great example of how vegan baked goods should taste!

An adorable cafe with amazing food!

This is by far my favorite breakfast and lunch place, everything i’ve had there is fantastic, and the menu has a lot of variety and fun options that I can’t find anywhere else. And everything there is vegan! It is absolutely a place you could bring an omnivore friend to and they would be happy. They have delicious grilled Cheese, multiple kinds of melts with vegan deli meats, and some fantastic burgers. Their breakfast foods are also delicious(pancakes are my personal favorite) and their pastries are the BEST! I recommend their frosted muffins. Absolutely try this place out, you won’t be disappointed!

Pros: Delicious food, cozy atmosphere , Friendly staff

Asian Fusion Portobello Burger = messy but excellent

The Asian Fusion Portobello Burger and the fudge brownie were terrific! The French Onion soup was just okay. Wish they offered the breakfast menu after 11 on weekdays.

Meh

We had to wait 45 minutes for a burrito and a tostada, and when they were served they were out of salsa and the tostada was more like a soggy tortilla. I want to support them because there should be more vegan restaurants in Bellingham, but this place could use a little improvement.

Pros: All vegan, Good iced latte
