Great vegan stop close to interstate! - Edit
Full vegan!!! Had a big menu with lots of choices! Casual, walk-in, indoor or outdoor seating. Not too expensive. No table wait at noon on a Sunday.

We were driving through Nashville and needed to pick up dinner for once we arrived at our destination.

We had quesadillas, rice & beans, black beans, nachos, chickpea noodle soup, carrots w/ ranch, and hummus w/ veggies.
The kids ate the quesadillas before I even got to taste, so they must have been amazing.
The black beans were perfectly spiced, while the beans & rice were more on the bland side. So they were perfect for the intended recipients.
I grudgingly shared my nachos. The “sour cream” was not very sour which is actually what my family prefers. So that was surprise (or I wouldn’t have had to share).
My daughter ate the carrots without even opening her container of ranch.
We will definitely stop here again.

Hip music, decor, and clientele, the all vegan Wild Cow emotes a cool vibe that you pick up as soon as you enter. And the curved bar at the center contributes to an easy feng shui that amplifies this vibe. The sweet potato chili I started with boasted an insouciant kick from a combination of zesty spices, and I had to slow myself down to savor the sweet buzz. The lentil bowl was a natural follow up, with the vegan garlic aioli a complimentary riposte to the spicy chili. The hearty lentil stew, served on a bed of brown rice, filled me up with each earthy forkful. The chickpea salad on a crispy bed of greens served as a satiating denouement to an engaging gustatory drama. Hands down the best overall dining experience and plant based fare of the three vegan establishments I sampled during my mid-winter visit to Music City.

I had the French Quarter Dip sandwich and mashed sweet potato. So tasty! My friend ordered a burrito, and let me tell you it was huge. I really enjoyed the food and experience.

Local Hot Spot - Edit
This place is a favorite. My husband and I love sitting at the bar vs the tables. The specials are always great and our go to usually. The veggies and salads are super fresh and the soups are yummy! The Rueben is great. The first time I came here, I ordered it and I couldn’t believe it was vegan. I love their Instagram page too because it highlights their specials and the amazing choices you have here.

Love that this is a sit down experience with a very casual vibe. There’s street parking or you can see if they have room in their small parking lot behind their establishment. Inside or outside seating available. They also have a bar that offers local beers, wines, and other libations.

As a sidenote, our server let us know that they had a list of all the vegan restaurants in the Nashville area that we could snap a picture of for future reference while in town. I felt it was very sweet of her to let us know what other vegan restaurants were in Nashville (several not on happy cow) versus trying to hoard all the business for themselves.

Went out of my way to try this highly rated vegan restaurant. I had the Rueben which was good. The spinach dip was the best I ever had, I took some to go along with the lentil plate to have for lunch the next day since I had a microwave in my hotel room. Worth the drive if you are staying near convention center.

Great Food, Slow Service - Edit
We came here for a late lunch about 2:30 or so. The restaurant was quiet with two or three other couples at tables. There appeared to be a host and two waiters and another employee who was involved in something else (unpacking boxes). We were seated quickly, but then waited about 15 minutes before our waiter even acknowledged our presence. We were looking at our phones to find someplace else to go to when he finally did make it to our table. Once we ordered, things got a little faster, but they were still slow.
Read moreMy wife had the Reuben and I had the French Quarter Dip. Our sides were the Chickpea Salad and the Lentil Stew. Everything was delicious. The Chickpea Salad was like a dill potato salad with garbanzo beans instead of potatoes - yummy.
It was disappointing to see the Beyond Burger on their menu - but they did also have their own housemade burger, which we'll try next time.
If it wasn't for the very slow service, this would get five stars.

Update : October 2021 - haven’t been here in a year , last time we took it to go and it was ok, not exceptional. This time, we sat in the sun and it was nice, the service was great. The food thought was very average and not satisfying in my opinion. The French quarter dip was a copy of the French baguette sandwich from the Falcon Coffee but far away not as good.. lentil bowl with rice was over cooked and the B.A.L.T Sandwich was just 2 toasts, vegenaise avocado and seitan bacon with a tiny piece of lettuce, just average.
Anyway, my honest review says the food was very blah (the spinach artichoke dip was good but didn’t feel homemade), we will not be coming back .
