Best Vegan options in Nashville

Eating vegan has never been easier or as delicious. The food is flavorful with a large menu, the restaurant is cute with the nicest little patio, and staff are lovely! I’ve brought non-vegan friends and family and everyone is happy. I love the buffalo tempeh wrap, all the salads, and the lentils!!!

Pros: Lots of options, Incredibly delicious, 100% vegan

Cons: Small, so can have a long wait

Worth seeking out for relaxed and healthy brunch

We went early for brunch on a Sunday. Lovely location, outdoor and indoor, friendly service and superb food.
The Breakfast Burrito was such a treat - packed with tofu-cauliflower cheesy scramble, spinach, homefries, tomato and spinach as well as a choice of seitan chorizo, seitan bacon, tempeh or apple-fennel sausage. I went for the chorizo which had a kick but wasn't too hot (a selection of hot sauces is on hand if you do want more heat). My partner and I shared this (it comes handily cut in two) and also shared the classic pancakes which were light and fluffy. The restaurant has an open kitchen, relaxed decor with simple wooden tables and some booths along the window. It's generally a young vibe but the staff were v welcoming to us in our mid-50s! Highly recommended.

Pros: Nice location among independent stores, Friendly staff and good music, Delicious fresh tasting food

Cons: Out of town location if staying in town centre , Only toilets are public ones outside but v clean

Great menu, food, and service

The food tastes so good and the menu has a lot of dishes to choose from. The seitan meat hoagie with a soup-like dipping sauce (I'd never seen that before, but it works!) was particularly good. The meals are a decent portion as they come with sides. Great cocktails and service too.

So good!

We had the gyro and the French dip. Both were great and came with sides: potato salad and garlicky kale.

The people are so nice!

Pros: Deeeelicious

Delicious Food

Had a group dinner here when in town & it was wonderful. The food was all good & the service was outstanding. The potato salad was some of the best potato salad that I have ever had. The tempeh bacon on the blt had a little spice to it that really made it pop with flavor. Great meal all the way around. I would love to have the chance to eat here again in the future.

Decent food, worth another shot

The vegan special I had was okay, but not great. Not a ton of options on the menu either, and nothing for breakfast.

Great stop! So yummy

Drove through Nashville and stopped here for dinner. Amazing tasty vegan food. Even my nonvegan step-daughter was impressed. She had the Buffalo tempeh. The chips and queso was so good as well.

Mouthwatering delicious!

First time here and my husband and I loved it! We were just staying in Nashville one night, passing through on vacation. I got the Patty Melt, one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, with a side of hummus and chips, which were really good too. My husband got the French Dip and loved his sandwich also, with a side of queso and chips, which he said was ok. Nice area, good parking and had to wait only 15 minutes for a table. Friendly waiter and would definitely eat here again.

Pros: Lots of Vegan options, Great price for dinner

Not CLOSED! Still wonderful

We like to hit the Wild Cow when driving through Nashville. I was disappointed to see on the Happy Cow app that it was temporarily closed- a phone call confirmed they are open and we had a short wait for a table.
I ordered the Buffalo Beans and Greens entree bowl and hubby had the Wild Reuben. We additionally enjoyed a cup of tomato balsamic soup and a side order of spinach artichoke dip and chips. The food was amazing as always.
Service was quick, accurate and with a smile. We will be back again!!

Healthy vegan food in East Nashville

Vegan and gluten-free restaurant in East Nashville, TN!

Food ****
What a fun delicious meal! We ordered the chorizo Seitan and black bean burrito and the Seitan gyro salad with tofu feta. Food was good. Burrito tasted great but nothing extraordinary. The salad was much more interesting and the “yogurt” dressing was delicious. We also got the unlimited coffee and the very Berry mocktail which was also good.

Atmosphere **
Restaurant itself was okay with some mixed booths and tables and some outdoor seating. The reason marks taken off were because the bathroom was gross and unkept, no toilet paper.

Service ****
Quick and easy and with a smile!

Price
$$ under $15 a dish on average

Pros: Very healthy options

Cons: Bathroom situation is a mess

The bathroom doesn’t belong to The Wild Cow. All of the businesses in that building share that bathroom, and there is a maintenance team that is supposed to clean it. I asked them the last time I was there and they don’t even have a key to the closet to restock the toilet paper, so totally not their fault.

All vegan. All relaxed.

In Nashville for a soccer match and Wild Cow was open and seemed to have something for everyone. We were seated promptly though the whole placed filled up while we were dining on a Saturday around 11:30am. We had a tempeh reuben, seitan gyro, chickpea salad, beyond burger, funfetti cupcakes and a strawberry cookie. The seitan could have been a little more flavorful and I’d recommend getting a side of cucumber yogurt dressing to pour on the sandwich. The reuben was filling and the tempeh was wonderful. The chickpea salad was just what we needed to re-up with some healthful foods during our trip. Don’t sleep on their salads. Desserts were great. Price was reasonable and the table service was just right. Would definitely return should we make it back to Nashville.

So very bland, so overrated

I was so surprised at all the positive reviews when I finally tried this place. The food here is incredibly bland and the sides have so little seasoning they’re nearly inedible. I gave this place a try three times before officially giving up.

Love The Wild Cow!

This was the first vegan restaurant we ever visited as a family over 5 years ago. It was great then and just as good now that we’ve eaten at so many excellent vegan restaurants around the country. I’m pretty sure they are the restaurant that we learned about Happy Cow from. The have generous portions and great flavor. They managed to fill our hungry teen boys which is certainly not a given. We will definitely be back any time we visit Nashville.

Pros: Lots of gluten-free options, All vegan menu, Friendly and efficient service

Cons: None
