Fabulous vegan meals! - Edit
I can highly recommend this pub. There was a great vegan selection on the menu of mains and also including starters and a dessert option. The food was a very good standard with generous portion sizes and reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble when double checking vegan options.

Thursday evening meal - Edit
After looking on The Happy Cow website and seeing how many vegan options were on offer I decided to take a walk and check it out. When I entered the pub I was greeted by a friendly barman and also by the owner. I ordered a pint of Moretti and then took a look at the menu. I was undecided between the Vegan pie of the day and the Vegan chicken burger. I opted for the Vegan chicken burger with chips and onion rings. There is an option of 1/4 or 1/2 lb burger. I decided to go for the 1/2 lb burger. When it arrived it looked very appetising. The chips were looked excellent and that was before I tasted them. The burger was very tasty. Nice bun with some salad and sauce. A couple of onion rings on the top also excellent. I will definitely be coming back to try the pie. Great food at a great price.

Great vegan selection - Edit
Went for Sunday lunch and had an amazing nut roast, with vegan mash, toasties and Yorkshire pudding. There were about 4 or 5 options for lunch, rather than just the usual lone vegan burger option I've found in a lot of East Yorkshire pubs. Feels like they've gone to a lot of effort to make it attractive to vegan/vegetarian customers too.

Super-friendly pub with loads of vegan options - Edit
I hadn't been to this pub for decades, but was so pleased I gave it a go. The place is dog and child-friendly. If you take your dog be prepared to get a lot of attention from the lovely staff. Meat and vegetarian meals are served as well as extensive vegan options. I had an amazing vegan double cheese burger which came with chips and was SOOOO tasty. There were also vegan pies, vegan kievs, vegan chicken burgers, vegan mushroom stroganoff and much much more. Well worth checking out. The road works on the A63 have cut it off a little at the moment, but please make the effort. I can't wait to go back.
