Somewhere for special occasions, with an everyday price tag

We visited for my omni brother's birthday. He'd heard about The Whittington Arms from a few people, so we were excited to see it on Happy Cow.
We received a warm welcome and were shown to our table. We were initially given the main menu, which has some vegan options marked on it, but the staff happily brought us the separate vegan menu when we asked. There were multiple options for starters, mains and desserts - and they all sounded so good that we had trouble choosing!
We settled on the tomato, basil and almond bake, and the caramelised onion tart. Food arrived after a short wait, and both meals were really good. We only spotted afterwards that we could have ordered greens or salad as sides, which would go nicely with both dishes.
When it was time for dessert, the staff remembered we were vegan and brought us the vegan menu. Again, we were spoilt for choice, and eventually settled on the treacle and pecan tart, and the chocolate tart.
If you only go to the Whittington Arms for one thing, go for the treacle tart! It's incredible!
The chocolate tart is yummy, but the treacle tart is on a whole different level!
