Chill Atmosphere with Plenty of Vegan Options - Edit
This is a nice diner that offered both vegan and non-vegan options, making it more accessible for mixed company dining. The vegan menu is large, offering many plant-based takes on traditional diner food. There were gluten-free options and bread available as well.
The staff were friendly in providing suggestions and the service was fairly fast. I had the "I Can't Believe It's Not an Omelette", which was interesting (polenta-based rather than tofu) and delicious.
Pros: Friendly staff, Variety of vegan options, Nice atmosphere

Lawd Have Mercy! - Edit
Unfortunately, this cool place is as good as the lineups imply. Went there for an event with Meatless Meetup and was blown away.
As a connoisseur of fresh cut fries who has been known to mock those who enjoy frozen fries with ketchup, I was humbled by their poutine. For sure the dish is made with frozen fries but lawd have mercy it is good!
The mac 'n cheese is fine, the salad is delicious, and their shepherd's pie is a must try.
Pros: Vegan Poutine, Vegan Shepherd's Pie, Delicious salad
Cons: Very loud. , Crowded., Line ups.

Yum - Edit
It's hard to find a place that caters to both vegans and non-vegans without having just one or two items on menu vegan friendly but this place exists!
Normally I'd just go straight for whatever isn't meat included but I had to spend time choosing what I wanted to try. I had their vegan omelette (made of polentas) and it was delicious. I'd come back next time to try something else.
Pros: Choices, Friendly Staff

Tasty burgers - Edit
Loved this place. I wasn't so hungry but still ordered a vegan burger —I was planning to keep some for later. Well, I ate all of it. It was so good! The place is also nice and the service is good.
Pros: Excellent burger, Nice service, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Serves meat

Diner Food with Lots of Variety - Edit
Nothing special. But a good spot for a variety of vegan (and other) comfort foods. Reminds me of Paradox Cafe in Portland.
Had I been hungover, I would have been more excited for a comfort brekky. :)
Pros: good location, variety, decent food
Cons: you could make better at home

Large selection fast food - Edit
The place definitely is not the cheapest but I decide to check it out anyway. Service was really nice and I wanted to try a Putin before leaving the country. The taste was reasonable but not too exciting. They had a vast selection of vegan food and I should definitely go back some other day to try out some things.
Pros: Large Selection
Cons: Expencive, Meat served

Good Vegan Options, Tasty - Edit
While visiting Vancouver I ate at Wallflower for dinner and brunch. They have plenty of vegan comfort and/or junk food options that are good, especially if you need to nibble while having a couple of drinks or are out with non-vegans. Their vegan nachos come in a portion that could feed 6 people and the brunch is super tasty (I like the tofu benny). For a place that is not 100% vegetarian, I found it to be pretty good.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Big portions
Cons: Can be busy

one of my fav - Edit
This place is without a doubt one of my favourite places to go to. If you go for breakfast try the "vegan Benny" and if you go for lunch or dinner be sure to gets side of their vegan poutine (it's fries with tofu/ gravy and cheese) it's amazing.

Decent, Sort Of - Edit
I've been to the Wallflower a few times and every time it's just okay. They have great drinks and a cool vibe but the food is a little lacklustre. It's nice to have vegan and gluten free options but they could improve on them big time. The gluten free buns are mealy and dry.
Pros: vegan and gluten free options, nice vegan cocktails, cool atmosphere
Cons: serves meat, fairly bland and uninspired food

Sweet Desserts! - Edit
After dinner at Black Lodge, we decided to head over to The Wallflower Modern Diner for dessert.
We ordered the chocolate cookie/vanilla ice cream sandwich and a vegan flan.
I am am not a sweets lover, but I did enjoy the cookie sandwich, made with rich vanilla ice cream in between two delicious chocolate cookies. The vegan flan was too sweet for my taste, but then again, I am not much into dessert. I was more interested in just having relaxing discussion after dinner, and the Wallflower seemed like the perfect place to sit down and enjoy a conversation.
Pros: Atmosphere

It's Ok - Edit
Lots of vegan options on the menu. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends, but as others mentioned, it is a good spot to go with meat-eating friends. I got the tofu-peanut wrap, which was ok. Not bad, not delicious, but ok. Staff was super friendly. Not a spot I'd go on my own to grab a quick bite food, but I'd go back with a group for sure.
Pros: Friendly Staff, Lots of Vegan Options
Cons: Pricey

Great Place - Edit
The vegan options are plentiful and delicious (including "Green" specials every day like barbecue tofu hash, japaleno veggie burger, etc), and it's a great place to go with "non-veg" friends who will enjoy their non-veg food while you get to order vegan or vegetarian foo.

Pros: friendly staff, wide selection, good prices
Cons: small, crowded for weekend lunch

Average vegan options - Edit
I feel the Wallflower was catching on the vegan bandwagon. The food is average at best, and overpriced always.
The macaroni cheese is not good at all, it swims in orange Daiya and lacks spices, herbs, I don't know, put something good in it!
I had the tofu scramble and it was bland and boring once but mine is 1000 times better so in the end, why bother spending so much money on food you can make just as quick and better at home.

drschoen 18 May 2013 - I agree... they use WAY too much Daiya in everything as if it's the only vegan 'cheese' option. They need to have a REAL vegan chef help them tweak their offerings.

The Wallflower Modern Diner - Edit
While The Wallflower Modern Diner is better than its sister location, The Perch, it's not entirely fantastic...I'd say it's pretty average. Our impression is that Wallflower is hipster with a modern touch to it, and you definitely get an interesting/mixed flow of customers in and out of the restaurant. We ordered the vegan poutine (French fries, gravy, ricotta tofu, and Daiya) and really liked it after they added the ricotta tofu - they forgot to add this ingredient initially, so they had to fix it. I ordered the vegan baked spaghetti (spinach, onion, Daiya, and ricotta tofu) and thought it was average. They also forgot the tofu ricotta (again) but I didn't realize this until we were done eating. I also really feel that Wallflower overuses Daiya, as all of the food I ordered was swimming in it. My bf ordered the non-vegan special and enjoyed it, but again, he also thought it was average.

Great Place - Edit
Their really good vegan nachos, hummus mozzarella melt, macaroni and cheese, and baked spaghetti, all made with daiya chees are delicious. They have a separate vegan menu, and some vegan things on their regular menu, including vegan Whiskey sours on their drink menu. They also have a gluten free menu. It is a great place to go with non-vegan family and friends for regular pub food.
