No nonsense vegan cafe - Edit
The Wallflower is small and unpretentious. The owners and staff are really friendly and the 100% vegan menu has meals to please all tastes. Our Buddha Bowl meal was delicious, full of goodness and generous.

My local - Edit
So happy to have this little gem as my local cafe. Good menu choice of savoury meals plus cakes. For me also a great choice of GF options. Always happy to introduce my non vegan friends to the cafe. It is tucked away so misses out on passing trade

Nice find - Edit
We came here for lunch after seeing the information on Happycow. It’s a relatively small cafe with about five tables but luckily there was one empty. There are plenty of choices and we had a hard time deciding. We ended up ordering the bubble & squeak and The Wallflower Rarebit, which came with some chips and salad garnish. We ordered a couple milkshakes too - I ended up with a smoothie which was probably better nutrition wise. Anyways, we would come here again if we had more time - the cakes looked good too. It’s handy to have the car park right next to it - but beware, Google maps will try to take you around to the high street where you might miss it as there’s an antique shop and beautician on the high street while the café is tucked at the back through a little alleyway.

Fantastic! - Edit
The Wallflower Cafe is Herne Bay’s little secret. You probably wouldn’t stumble across it because it’s tucked away, but if you are visiting the town then you should seek it out. They have a great variety of vegan dishes, so many it’s hard to chose what to have. Lin and I both choose the homemade burger and chips. Chunky chips with their skin on and a burger with flavours of onion bhajis - what could be better?
Read moreIt’s very popular and has limited seating so you may have to wait to get a table, but I guarantee that the wait will be worth it. We visited several years ago before they became fully vegan, but now it’s going to be a regular stop because there’s a lot of dishes on the menu to get through.
The service was friendly and faultless and all the hot food is cooked from scratch , no zapping in a microwave.
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Friendly atmosphere, 100% vegan
Cons: Limited seating, It’s almost too hard to choose what to have, Not easy to stumble upon

Pros: Lots of choice, lovely staff, lovely atmosphere, Takeaway items are available in recyclable/, compostable packaging.
Cons: The only con would be that the cafe is small , (although that could be a pro too ...) and so if , you want to eat in there may be no tables free

Lovely, quaint cafe tucked away on the High Street (back enterance through the Herne Bay Leisure Centre car park).
Read morePrices are good as portion sizes are filling and everything is made fresh. Menu available for takeaway in sturdy biodegradable packaging.
Staff are lovely and friendly. Fresh cakes are posted on their Facebook page.
I've eaten here with my boyfriend numerous times even if just for a smoothie and cake but the mushroom and hoisin wrap is my favourite or the pancakes with mixed berries.
There's a cute collared dove nesting outside above the security light too. 😊
Pros: Portion sizes , Disabled access, Lovely staff and atmosphere
Cons: Limited space, Need another cafe in another town

Love this place! Been wanting to visit for ages and finally did today for my husband’s birthday. The food was amazing!! We had sausage burgers and chips (it was burger night). Takeaway only due to lockdown restrictions but still so worth a visit. Staff are lovely and so helpful. Friday eves is tofish and chips and Saturday is curry night so we’ll be trying those out too!

All the food looked amazing but as we had already eaten lunch we settled for cappuccino and cake (chocolate brownie, and carrot and sultana). The cakes were the lightest and best tasting vegan cakes we have ever experienced. We will definitely try to go for lunch another time.

Busy even in January but filled with smiles. The smoothies are so yummy and filling. Food is honest, clean, tasty, picture perfect... With a mediterranean spice rack inspiration but a cute and quirky brittish look. Well done ladies!

This is simply a must visit! Never had a bad meal here. The blueberry muffins are a special favourite of mine, as is the banana peanut milkshake (nice and creamy and thick) and the sweet potato cashew pesto wrap 🤤🤤🤤 honestly this place is heaven for your taste buds.. you’d be silly to miss it! The Friday night monthly specials are a real treat too 🥰

Little gem in the garden of England - Edit
Absolutely brilliant find since there’s not many eateries offering 100% vegan menus in my region. Really enjoyed the food, great homemade falafels and hummus but above all was my buddua salad bowl full of fresh leaves, crunchy veg, chick peas, seeds and grains. Really enjoyed the texture and flavors. Both my husband and I were sufficiently satisfied and nourished but couldn’t resist a little sweet treat of apricot and ginger cake which again was lovely. This was our first time exploring Herne Bay the wallflower will be definitely be a reason to return
