We arrived at the location a bit perplexed as it looked like it was a home but carried on through the gates and luckily saw tables and chairs tucked around the corner. As soon as we entered the eatery we were welcomed. Menu was explained and cold water poured. I had a large pepperoni pizza and husband had mock meat burger with fries. Pizza cheese was great, vegan cheese is always my worry but I thought I’d risk it as they had loads of varieties of pizza, the cheese is made on premises with their own recipe. The pizza was massive with loads of toppings, so much that I had to give in and take the rest of it home in a box (but not before I heard there was a freshly made strawberry cheese which I added to my takeaway order). Husband enjoyed his burger too. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Great vegan food. The Hawaiian pizza (not sure if that was the exact name) was so good that we came by a second night in a row to have it again! The burgers were also really good. My favorite vegan restaurant in Colombo.

The staff of the VOV was super helpful, as the requirements from my fiance and I were even more different, being Jain Vegan. The staff even made a change for us in two of their fooditems and it was delicious! The ICE Cream with the brownie is a must eat, you don’t want to miss out on this one :)

Cant say i had the best experience at this place after i took a long walk with high expectations after reading the previous reviews. I ordered a shake and tofu burger, my drink took 20 mins to arrive and another 20 mins along came the burger which was mushroom so had to wait longer a further 10 mins for them to change it, finally i got my tofu burger and it was really spicy so i struggled to finish it.. if ur selling western foods then dont add chilli’s to it.

We visited VOV several times during our stay in Colombo, and ate some delicious food.
Read moreOur timing was perfect, as the owner was trying out the Beyond Burger on the menu - beautifully prepared with tasty fries. Although, as a result, we’ve not yet tried the other burgers that they make in-house. Hopefully, we’ll get to give them a try the next time we visit.
The spaghetti bolognese was also really good comfort food, as was the pizza made with homemade pepperoni, and we had a great salad too.
There was only one dessert on the menu when we visited - a chocolate avocado mousse, which was very good, but I can definitely also recommend the chocolate milkshake which was lovely and creamy!
The owner and his team are all ever so friendly and very welcoming!

The food...DELICIOUS! The workers...AMAZING! The owner...INCREDIBLE! They have everything I love! Like enchiladas, chocolate milkshakes, burgers, etc. This has been one of my biggest highlights of my trip so far! I just love seeing the term vegan being used and recognized in other countries. Speaking to the owner who is a wonderful man, super attentive, was great. Engaging in conversation. Basically the service here is just impeccable as well as the food! Had me leaving super satisfied with a food baby. I love this place. I forgot to mention they are eco-conscious. Still have more time in Sri Lanka and will definitely be eating/ordering from VOV.

I really loved it there! All vegan, very friendly staff! I ordered first one burger (Dinklage) with potatoe wedges and iced tea, very good! After 30mins I had to order another one, because it was so good! Payed for 2 burgers, wedges, 2 iced tea 1650 Rupies (8.50€). Definitly worth it 🙏🏼

Vov is the only proper vegan cafe in Colombo (Smokies is in Mount Lavinia) and it's perfect for a big dirty burger. I personally love mock meat and its always great when they get in some special things like the Beyond Burger for us to try. Although I missed the gardein fishless fish (my own fault). Pizzas and drinks are also yummy.
Read moreAll those the food can take some time to come out, its because its being made to order and it's a small kitchen so visit when you have time to chill, have a chat and its a great place to meet other activists in Colombo. There's usually someone interesting in there.

A small place serving delicious food. We came here for lunch and had the beyond meat burger, which was very tasty. The owner is very friendly and was sure to make our stay there as pleasant as possible, very knowledgeable about Veganism in Sri Lanka. Definitely go and check it out!
