Very Good Food - Edit
This is one of our go-to vegan restaurants. The food is always good and the service is impeccable. I usually have the Mexican menu items and my wife loves the sushi. The portions are large and the food, delicious. The weekend brunch is amazing. I love that the food is always fresh and no pre-made meats are used. Carlos, Paloma and Alondra, the owner have always been the best. 10 stars!!!!

Disappointing japanese food - Edit
We chose only japanese foods and we were disappointed.
Read moreTempura consisted of too big chunks of raw vegetables, undelicate, and unsavory.
And spicy tuna sushis were very basics and near uneatable because of the amount of Sriracha and jalapeño in each sushi.
I would rather recommend the Mexican menu.
Pros: Quick and friendly service
Cons: Japanese dishes not on point

So yummy! - Edit
I’ve been a couple times now and I haven’t had anything bad! Mexican and sushi is not what you expect for the menu, but it works! The service was great and everyone is friendly. I would highly recommend.

Sushi and Mexican – who knew? - Edit
I was a little skeptical of combining Mexican sushi, dishes in one meal. However, the attention to detail and flavor, as well as a wonderful atmosphere sold me on the concept. I had the Pezzoli and volcano roll. They were both excellent and would have them again. Interior and decor of the restaurant is fabulous. Highly recommend.

Japanese AND Mexican! - Edit
We went for Mother’s Day brunch and while service was a bit slow, food was fantastic! We wanted to try a bit of everything. From the Japanese menu, we tried the Village roll (my favorite), spicy tuna roll, avocado cucumber roll, edamame, and miso soup. From the Mexican menu, we ordered the fish tacos (husband’s favorite) and the crunch wrap. We also tried their Belgian waffles. All were delicious and portions were huge!

A good spot - Edit
Their guacamole and tacos were really good. The calamari lacks taste. Excellent chips. The staff was really nice. Clean place.

Tons to choose from - Edit
I was reluctant to try a place with Japanese and Mexican food, but it was actually really good. We got something from each “side” and both were solid. There is a ton of seating for both casual/coffee shop style dining as well as a full restaurant experience. Very clean aesthetic.

The absolute best sushi - Edit
This place did not disappoint. The owner was so kind and recommended the top selling roll which was incredible. It had crispy mushrooms on top and I don’t even like mushrooms and I loved it. If my budget would allow I would be visiting all the time😉

Hit or miss - Edit
I've eaten here at least 7 times now and the food is super hit or miss. I've ordered something different each time, both from the sushi menu and Mexican menu. The food quality is very inconsistent . Sometimes it's absolutely delicious! Other times it couldnt be more bland and a disappointment. And it's not cheap so it's a real bummer when the food doesn't come out good. But I keep going back cuz when the food slaps it really slaps.

Mexican AND sushi?! - Edit
My girl and I actually did some research on this restaurant before we came (their website has the cutest story about the owner and her dog!). We were warmly greeted and sat by the host and were given suggestions since it was our first time. We went with the chile relleno (stuffed with mashed potatoes!), the Village roll (had to), and the Tempura Crab roll (we’re fiends for mushrooms), and a couple of locally-brewed kombuchas. I’d definitely recommend the chile relleno because the flavors were out of this world fantastic, and you can never go wrong with vegan shrimp. Come for the good food, the friendly atmosphere, and make sure you pay a visit to Fur, Fins, & Feathers across the street! The joint is essentially an antique shop where most of the proceeds go toward animal rehabilitation and conservation, plus the lady who works there is super nice and loves a good chat! Peace & Love.

Worth the Hype! - Edit
Came for dinner, overly stuffed ourselves and have zero regrets! At the recommendation of our waitress, we settled on the chile relleno, fish tacos, village sushi roll, and strawberry cheesecake.
Read moreThe chile relleno was light, crispy and flavorful. It wasn’t a heavy or greasy dish. The sauces really make the dish. So good.
The fish tacos are made from breaded coconut which doesn’t sound good, but don’t let that deter you! The coconut is tender and juicy. It is very reminiscent of real fish tacos without the flaky texture and fishy taste.
The village sushi roll is the perfect combo of sweet and spicy. It’s probably one of the best sushi rolls we’ve ever had.
The strawberry cheesecake is divine.
Definitely try this place!

Delicious food, Lovely owner, Excellent atmosphere - Edit
Finding a vegan, gluten free, and soy free Chili Rellano is nearly impossible - this one was filled with mashed potatoes and slathered in red and green sauce - it was incredibly delicious and I couldn’t have asked for a better meal for my one night in San Diego. It was spicy, flavorful, and crispy - it was PERFECT!! The accompanying rice and beans were equally yummy, as was the complimentary chips and salsa. The owner came to the table to chat and take my order, she was incredibly kind and welcoming, and one of the nicest people I’ve met in a very long time. I absolutely adored the place, the people, and the food. I will definitely stop in anytime I’m in SD!!

Great Vegan Options - Edit
It's hard to find vegan options that don't have overly processed foods. We appreciate that this place has a lot of soyfree and gluten-free options on top of being vegan.. Great place where kids and pets are welcome. Also, they had the best cheesecake ever. We would come back again and again if we could.

“Healthier” Mexican/Japanese food - Edit
Yummy classic dishes. Elote was to die for. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like the Chile relleno since it was stuffed with potatoes and I usually prefer just cheese but it was soooo good. The mole was the perfect amount of spicy and chocolate combined. Will be back. Thank you Esmeralda!
