The Very Good Butchers

I was eager to try a burger by VG Butchers, and it didn't disappoint! I had the delicious Smokin' Burger, which has chopped avocado, red pepper, spinach leaves and cheeze-topped patty on a good bun. Loved it! I've brought home a package of their Very Good burger patties. I'll be back as soon as possible.to try their Reuben sandwich and hot dog.
We're very lucky in Victoria to have a vegan outlet like this. Perfect location right inside the front door of the Market.

am more stunned that my little city of Victoria beat (or is that beet?!) out a city like Vancouver or Seattle to get a place like this. It hasn't even been open for a month but it is already making waves and cementing itself as a staple in Victoria's food scene. Offering a simple assortment of delicious, addicting, and incredibly well made plant-based foods...The Very Good Butchers do what they do best. Follow them on Instagram @theyverygoodbutchers to get an idea of some of the amazing stuff they come up with...but better yet, head down to the Victoria Public Market and pay them a visit yourself. Whether you grab something to eat there, or treat yourself and take some tasty fare home for later, you won't be disappointed. If you are a vegetarian or vegan, you will be thankful this place opened up. If you eat meat, you will wonder how plant-based foods could be so darn tasty. Kudos to The Very Good Butchers!

I am thrilled that The Very Good Butcher exists! As a relatively new vegan, it's delicious food like this that makes it so easy.

I can't tell you enough how delicious everything is! Their menu is diverse and difficult to choose from; I couldn't decide between the pepperoni sub or the glutenfree jack and waffles! I went for the waffles and I didn't regret it; it was super flavourful and a huge portion. I also picked up their very good burgers and they are really taking veggie burgers up a notch.
The feeling at their deli is great as the staff are so awesome and the location couldn't be better at the entrance to the Victoria Public Market. I would highly recommend all to go--vegans, vegetarians and the rest to give the VGB a go!!!
