100% Vegan Store - Edit

The Vegi Hut is in Afflecks Palace on Oldham Street run by Natalie. Everything is 100% vegan with a wide variety of vegan products including cheese, takeaway sandwiches, tofu, canned items like beans and jackfruit, dried products, make up and household products. It does look a little sparse in parts but sure this will improve as the business gets busier.

Pros: 100% vegan

100% vegan store - Edit

A shop within Afflecks dedicated to vegan produce. Array of fridge and shelved food products, as well as vegan themed clothing and toiletries.
Great potential moving forwards, although feels a bit sparse at the moment. Looking forward to more stock in the future.

Pros: Completely vegan, Hard to find brands, Toiletries

Cons: Feels a bit empty at the moment

Just what Manchester needs! - Edit

I visited the Vegi Hut a couple of weeks ago and they seemed to have got loads of new things in since I went there when it first opened. This is the only 100% vegan shop in the city centre so it’s great to see it doing well. They stock lots of vegan goodies which usually require ordering online (such as the blessed Vego bar). They also have a cool collection of vegan t-shirts which are a rarity outside of vegan festivals (and the internet). Definitely worth a visit!

Pros: Vego bars and Vegolinos!, Nice sandwiches , Friendly staff

Great Potential But Not There Yet - Edit

Unfortunately, I was mostly struck by how little stock they have. The four shelves and two fridges in the picture is literally all the food so it doesn't seem like a proper shop- it's more like what you might find in the corner of a place that's mostly a cafe, except this isn't really that either. In a city centre where we have plenty vegan options, I can't see myself having a need to pop in here.It seems like they've opened before they really had the capital to do it properly so plan to build it up over time. They do have a couple of brands you don't see much elsewhere so maybe it's good if you have a liking for those. I want this place to do well, it's a nice idea, good location, the people seem nice. So hopefully, given some time it will be great. It is worth having a look at their facebook as they have vegan companies come in for the day which can be a chance to get something you can't normally.

Bound for success - Edit

Only recently opened, this fully vegan shop on the 2nd floor in Afflecks has hit the ground running. Already stocked with vegan essentials as well as t-shirts and some toiletries, The Vegi Hut is due to keep increasing stock and fulfilling your Manchester city centre vegan needs. The sandwiches looked like nice lunch options and there was some seating inside also. Well worth a visit.

Pros: Friendly service, Good location
