Heavy on the ISH - Edit
I can’t recommend. The menu didn’t sound super impressive but I figured the burgers wouldn’t be bad. Except they were out of the burgers. The vegetarian things that sounded okay couldn’t be made vegan. I think the menu changed since the very first review. We ended up with the beyond taco salad, smoothie, and cauliflower bites
Read moreTaco salad - weird taste to the meat and the dressing clashed with the flavors and wasn’t fitting for a taco salad
Cauliflower bites - it’s just steamed cauliflower doused in pepper and lemon(?). I love cauliflower and couldn’t eat it. Are we just calling regular cauliflower “bites” now?
Some kind of tropical smoothie - tasted like canned coconut cream (the solid fat part) with canned mango purée with the weird canned coconut milk aftertaste. I have a smoothie several times a week and I had to throw it away

Pretty bad - Edit
Really cringey name for a menu that’s mostly meat? The cauliflower “wings” were just plain steamed cauliflower florets that were still mostly raw. The sweet potato tacos were okay. Definitely don’t recommend, but it’s one of the only options around Tuscaloosa sadly.

Definitely “ish” - Edit
Given the title, it’s understandable that they don’t serve only vegan food. However, the restaurant is poorly ventilated, smoky and smells like burning fish. Service was lacking and all dishes are served on little paper or styrofoam plates. One of the vegetarian dishes had clearly been warmed up in a microwave and didn’t have all the ingredients it was said to have on the menu. A vegan meal came with a bag of non-vegan chips. Veganish has a cool concept and aesthetic but is not well executed.

Love Vegan-ish - Edit
I know for myself omnis may not want to come to a vegan restaurant with me which is what makes Veganish a cool inclusive concept. No matter Vegan, vegetarian, or just trying, you can find something for you.

When in Tuscaloosa - Edit
Yum! Seriously they are a 5-star eatery. The menu can be fully vegan or vegetarian based on the options you select. We had the veggie pasta and the pizza. They gave us samples of a smoothie and the cheesecake. Awesome people, crazy good food. Don’t hesitate, your body will thank you.
