The Vegan Shop

Just what we needed by Nørreport - a vegan shop! It's the perfect location, considering it's a meeting point of the regional trains, the s-trains, the buses and the metro.
At The Vegan Shop, you can find a bunch of difference meat substitutes, yoghurts, desserts, ice cream, organic wine, spreads, t-shirt with slogans and toiletries.

They recently started having two different kind of sandwiches, hummus + avocado (great!) and another one with potatoes, I believe, that I have yet to try.

You can also by cakes and snacks from Landbageriet.

A small and nice shop with decent prices and a good selection of both hygiene and food products.

Now with sandwich lunch offers! Yum!

This small vegan supermarket has a great location - a few minutes from Nørreport, though all your needed vegan essentials are probably not to be found in this store alone. They do have vegan ice cream indeed, some vegan "spread the message" t-shirt and sweaters. If you're in the area - stop by and see for yourself

You won't get all your shopping done here, but you can pick up some much needed vegan staples. It was great for me as a traveler to find some vegan chocolate, yogurt, candies, etc. The staff were very friendly and the shop had a variety of vegan literature available.

This shop saved our trip to Copenhagen.
Not only did the staff treat us like their friends, but the food range is very well thought through. Gourmet and affordable, all organic and vegan.

We left the shop with the biggest smiles and bags full of goodies. I surely hope they will make it a chain and come to Bergen! :)
