Comfort food served spicy and loud - Edit
At this loud pop-up happening @ Abby's Diner we opted for outside seating to get up close and personal with friends we hadn't seen for a while having moved from California five years ago. The Hooligan Fries were comforting and tasty, chili cheese fries that hit the spot. I ordered Sugar Mits, cheese filled empanadas sprinkled with sugar that were tasty. I wouldn't have thought sugar would work so well with cheddar. My partner had the sliders, delicious two-biters that had a thin jerky-like "meat" which I enjoyed. Our two companions each had the Flaming Melt and oohed-and-awwed over this gooey patty-melt-like concoction. We all opted for and enjoyed the Berry White Shuga Shake.
Thanks for the good food!
Pros: all vegan, reasonably priced
Cons: no salad or slaw on the menu

Awesome food and cool scene - Edit
Me and my husband went opening weekend and a couple of times since. The food is soo good and the vibe is cool. A lot of nice people and it was just amazing to be around so many like-minded people enjoying this vegan food. I wish they could just take over the diner permanently!!
Pros: they do to-go orders
Cons: I wish they had more seating inside since they get

Good little pop up on weekends - Edit
Went there as I heard about from friends. Had a few options. The Flamin Melt which was amazing. Also had the empanadas. The cheese inside was hot so let it cool down. Hot tip- add the purple cabbage to the empanada. Thank me later! Also had the chili fries which were also good.
Madame Shugah brings all the sweets. Her Hooligan shake is a must and for dessert you must try the sundae.
Pros: great atmosphere. friendly staff. great food.
Cons: small dining area so you might have to wait for a

Cool weekend option in Eagle Rock - Edit
I heard about this place via the vegan zombie channel and added it to HappyCow. They are currently doing Friday Saturday Sunday evenings only but plan to have brunch offerings soon.
I had the empanadas and the vegan cheese inside was really nice but stays hot for a long time so don't burn yourself. Also had a strawberry dessert shake made by Madame Shugah which was fantastic.
Pros: comfort food
Cons: small place
