Very misleading- not vegan - Edit
Food was ok. The menu is still geared towards meat-eaters, with vegan options being an additional upcharge or non-vegan items removed. Kimchi is easy to find vegan at the grocery store, so I didn't understand why have an item that has to be removed in order to make it fit the name of the restaurant.
Read moreMaybe the disappointment was my own fault because I was expecting to be able to order a vegan item instead of having to request animal products be removed. I wish they'd remove 'vegan' from the name, that doesn't even make any sense.

Pros: Food ok.
Cons: Not vegan, Extra charge for vegan, Have to remove items to make vegan.

Recent trip - Edit
I had taco tacos and fries with the vegan cheese. Was nice for a quick meal with friends. Everything was great though the tacos were a bit messy. More of a fast food vibe as you order at the counter and then pick up your food but it’s much nicer than fast food. Also as a note this place does serve meat though I believe everything on the menu can be made vegan!

Great place! - Edit
A good place to come if you're having lunch with a non-vegan friend. Being 90s kids, we also loved the retro decor :)

Mainly plant food selections with some beef options - Edit
Hip ambiance, very clean, fun place with lots of character. Excellent food, we had (Tofu) Banh Mi, Street Corn, Barbacoa Tofu Tacos, Avocado toast, Lemon parsley fries, Thai Iced Tea, a sampler of plant based ice cream and all were delicious. There are some options to have beef but the menu is primarily geared to Vegans.

This is my husbands and mine's favorite restaurant in the area. The chips burger with the truffle fries is what we always get. They are so friendly and sweet here, they always offer us a sample of something new they are working on. There's even sorbet which is DELICIOUS!

Vegan breakfast sandwich 10/10 - Edit
So delicious.. also tried the lemon fries and they are now in my top 2 favorite fries of all time. Vegan Breakfast sandwich was so good, wish it was bigger lol. Menu is not entirely vegan but majority of things can be done vegan and I was informed it was cooked separately.

Homemade sorbet and Ice cream - Edit
We stopped here on our way home from camping. Absolutely delicious, they serve meat options so I'm not allowed to give them 5 stars but the open faced breakfast sandwich with balsamic reduction was delicious. Finished with the saffron sorbet. Really a surprise. This will now be a regular stop on our trips north

Good for fast food - Edit
The food is tasty and the interior decor is very cute, they've got a bunch of games on the tables as well. However, the service is a bit lackluster and while they make decent use of the space it's still a bit cramped.

Tasty food - Edit
Food is fresh and tastes good. Their Bahn Mi is awesome, crusty baguette, refreshing greens and sauce with some spiciness from chillies. Street tacos were good too but personally I enjoyed Bahn Mi much more. I will definitelly come back to try their other options.

Amazing! - Edit
Love the decor! 80’s themed games at all the tables (rubic’s cube, guess who, connect four, and many more!) and the food was amazing! I had the rose-Marie. The sauce was amazing! The owner was very nice and even gave us some free hot chocolate, which had no sugar added and was literally liquid chocolate🤤the berry iced tea was also a great drink and my mom had iced coffee. Please open a branch by the Monmouth county area!

Delicious - Edit
I don’t usually bother to leave reviews, but Vegan Butcher is amazing. If this site allowed for it, I would leave a five star review. I’m a big fan of the Street Tacos with their innovative flavors of smoked tofu, sushi ginger, thin sliced seedless cucumbers, and vegan creme fresh all on house-made tortillas. I have the cilantro as soap gene, but they are used to accommodating dietary needs. The menu has a variety of non-meat protein options as well as a couple meat options. So nice for the versions I can eat to equal or outnumber the ones I cannot. There are also gluten-free options on the menu.
Read moreNice vegan Thai Iced Tea. My husband really likes the hot chocolate, a deep, rich, sipping chocolate, and I really like the sorbet. It’s nice to have desert options I can eat, and there are fun flavors like pumpkin, cardamom, and saffron.

Good food and a lot of options but the vegan options for much of the food are an extra charge, we were very disappointed. This is not a vegan restuarant

Don’t hate, Advocate! - Edit
My husband and I had lunch here today and had a lovely meal and great experience. The name may confuse some since they have meat options, but being vegan with many friends and family that don’t share the lifestyle, I love knowing that I can take them here instead of a traditional place where I’m stuck eating a salad.

Really great time! - Edit
The name is a little misleading because this isn't a 100% vegan restaurant. That said, every menu item can be made vegan and the staff is very clear when you order about what is plant based and how to make it that way! Food was great! Atmosphere is 90s nostalgia and clean! Prices are fair! Staff is friendly and conscientious!

Vegan Butcher - Edit
I, along with everyone else in Lehigh Valley, has taken notice to the new and much-craved fast-casual restaurant, Vegan Butcher. For someone who strives to maintain a plant-based diet, I had no choice but to try Vegan Butcher (my "newest squeeze.")
Read moreI was thoroughly impressed with the food as well as the service and prices. The older you get, the more you realize how essential those three components are to any restaurant looking to stand the test of time. I met various members of the staff and felt receptive to everyone. My family and I ordered a few things to get a feel for the menu and to better understand what to order for future visits. We ended up mixing it up, selecting the vegan Bahn Mi, Lemon Fires, the Chips Impossible Burger, and Street Corn. Everything was fresh and tasty. My only regret was not ordering the tacos as well, but it gives me plenty reason to return.
Different games are left on the tables to entertain folks while their food is being prepared. So, in other words, you don't have to rely so heavily on WiFi. Health is at a premium in 2019, as it should be, and places like Vegan Butcher are so important to a community's growth! I am ecstatic that I live nearby and more importantly, I now have a place to impress my friends with who travel from out of town. It's not often I can find a place which accommodates both Vegans and Carnivores haha! You know what I mean. Special blessings to everyone whose had a hand in opening Vegan Butcher. I am honored to have dine at this restaurant and look forward to eating there over and over again! Bless😄- Corey A. Williams
