Misleading wall signage - Edit
The signs/art on the walls make claims to the place being plant-based, but it's actually not, as it serves eggs and dairy. We found that both misleading and disappointing.

The breakfasts we ordered certainly looked exciting and colourful, but were actually surprisingly bland (and they don't stock condiments to jazz things up) so overall we felt we wouldn't go there again.

The VEG Box is by far our favourite spot! Lovely food, hearty meals and friendly staff. They are just a great bunch of people serving a great bunch of food. They are right next to Canterbury Wholefoods, allowing you to do some groceries after your meal :)

Fresh, tasty hot and cold food, friendly and welcoming. The aubergine involtini was so, so good! The coffee was perfect. The location in this beautiful city is unbeatable. If we lived any closer we would be regulars here for sure! Loved it.

The Veg Box Cafe is an excellent plant-based cafe in the centre of Canterbury. The food was so delicious we went twice! They do also offer dairy milk and dairy cheese so not 100% plant-based but all their vegetables are organic and locally sourced and the dishes were so flavoursome! The prices are reasonable and they also have a good cake section so totally recommended.

I popped by for a quick snack and coffee. I was happy I came here. The staff are friendly and happy to give recommendations. There’s lots of vegan food to chose from. I had a slice of raw cake and a cappuccino - very tasty and frankly I regret not ordering a full meal. There’s lots of seating spread out in the venue. The only odd thing is that they had flyers on the table soliciting investors so that they can expand their business - I haven’t seen that before at a restaurant.

Locally sourced food and delicious food prepared by loving hands. Everyone so friendly and helpful. Great menu. We had the fritter and 3 toppings and the jacket potato filled with cheese and beans. Asked if we wanted vegan cheese!! Bonus!! And would have absolutely had the sweet potato soup but it was a warm day. Plan on returning tomorrow and trying some of the other options.

Update: we went back for lunch, everything is fresh and really tasty. We had a buddha bowl where you can choose your own toppings and the daily hot pot, which was a really nice veggie korma.
