Woodn’t Change Much - Edit
For some reason, I entered this day with a high degree of cynicism. Convinced that the gardens surrounding this restaurant would be a wash (and an expensive one at that), and that the food wouldn’t be much better, it already had work to do before I had even arrived. However, having been utterly charmed by the grounds, by the time I reached the restaurant I had softened somewhat and was willing to be altogether more optimistic.
Read moreThe whimsical approach to the entrance, its charming façade, and the chaotically wonderful interior only strengthened that feeling. One has to commend them for sticking steadfastly to their theme, though I will say the only drawback was the chairs: aesthetically delightful, ergonomically nightmarish.
Easing my way into proceedings, I began with the bread-based nibbles. This proved an inspired choice, as both the focaccia and the grissini were a triumph.
Hoping this dough-laden platter was but a soupçon of things to come, my expectations for the edamame, courgette and pesto risotto skyrocketed. Mercifully, they were met in full. Wonderfully creamy without becoming heavy, beautifully balanced by the freshness of the pesto and the sweetness of the courgette, it was comforting, elegant, and far better than I had dared imagine.
At this point, I was riding the crest of a wave. Or so I thought. Given its contents - mushroom, leek, spinach and vegan smoked Applewood cheese - it was always going to be difficult for the Wellington to avoid becoming sodden, and so it proved. Worse still, the moisture had leached into the pastry, though the few crisp edges that survived were genuinely delicious. More frustrating was the dearth of accompaniments. A shame, as the roast potatoes were excellent and the root vegetables retained a pleasingly al dente texture.
Fortunately, dessert more than made amends. Tucked away on the final line of the menu was a formidable collection of words: banana and peanut butter blondie, salted caramel ice cream. There was a real danger it couldn’t live up to the hype I’d built in my own mind, yet the first glorious spoonful immediately dispelled those fears. Exceptional from the first second to the last - not that there were many between - I could happily have eaten it three times over.
Infinitely better than I had anticipated. Yes, the roast itself was a touch disappointing, but everything else excelled to the point that it scarcely mattered. Though by no means cheap, it’s still very much worth a visit.

Unique tree house experience - Edit
Visited the Tree House for lunch as a family, where we enjoyed our unique tree house experience.
Read moreWe had the butternut squash ravioli, pumpkin puree and toasted walnuts (small plate) and edamame, courgette pesto risotto (large plate), with some hand cut chips. Both dishes were fresh and flavourful.
Staff were friendly and the setting itself is beautiful. Just wish there was more vegan choice, but glad we visited.

Divine! - Edit
The best meal I’ve had in 2026, just delicious and Supwr quirky decor in beautiful treehouse. There are only one or two vegan options, but that’s not a hardship as they are absolutely phenomenal. I had the pumpkin ravioli to start with, the pesto risotto and the peanut and banana blonde. Well presented food by friendly staff and not at all expensive for the quality.

Treehouse ooh la la! - Edit
Eating a meal at the world's largest treehouse was a real treat! The staff were so friendly and helpful. There weren't many vegan options, but the food I ordered was absolutely delicious! I got 2 small plates - curried parsnip soup and butternut squash ravioli with toasted walnuts. I had the blondie with salted caramel ice cream for dessert. Wow!!!

Lovely meal - Edit
We enjoyed our meal in the gorgeous surroundings! The fairy lights and festive touches (foliage on the tables, crackers etc) were lovely too.
Read moreWe had:
Starter: Butternut squash ravioli, pumpkin puree, toasted walnuts
Mains:
-Beetroot risotto, balsamic and chilli beets, candied walnuts, vegan
feta
-Mushroom, leek, spinach and vegan smoked applewood cheese wellington, crushed new
potatoes, tenderstem broccoli & vegetable jus
Dessert: Banana and peanut butter blondie, salted caramel ice cream
Everything was lovely! Not the MOST flavorful, but enjoyable and i appreciated the options. It's more the experience of eating in the world's largest treehouse!
The blondie was 100% more of a brownie, didn't taste any banana at all, but it was delicious!

Fresh and delicious! - Edit
There's only a few vegan options on the menu but they are outstanding! You can tell the ingredients are fresh and high quality. I got the 3 course deal: appetizer, main, and dessert for £24. That biscoff cheesecake was to die for! Not to mention the quaint, rustic decor. 10/10 recommend
