Great spot, great food

Located above the threehouse health food shop, this is a lovely spot to sit and enjoy some food. My partner had the burger which came with a bean salad and greenary and I had a large salad topped with temepeh, both were delicious. They have a good selection of both vegan and gluten free foods at a very affordable price given that the food is organic.

Pros: Organic foods, Great price, Good portion size

Cons: Up a flight of stairs, Only one toilet

Vegan options aplenty

Soup was really good, as was the coffee. Only one meat option on the menu, lots of vegan offerings including cakes. Rocky road looked particularly good... next time...

Lovely vegan eats

I've been to Treehouse twice now and the food has been great both times. The veggie burger is vegan and there's salad and some vegan breakfast options too. The specials board changes daily (I think?) and the soup is usually vegan and there's always a couple of vegan options on the board! They use organic, mostly local ingredients too. Price wise it's not too bad either! I'm yet to try the cakes but there's always a vegan option there too.

Pros: Organic, locally grown food, Always 2+ vegan options

Cons: Not open on sundays or evenings

Great place!

They must have really upped their game since the last reviews since this is IMHO the best place for eating vegan in Aber! In addition to the burger and salad on the main menu, there are always another two or three vegan options on the specials board – more than the non-vegan options! I have had: jerk tofu with rice and beans and rainbow chard, marinated sesame and tofu balls with a satay sauce and sautéed vegetables as well as the awesome veggie burger that comes with garlic mayo and mixed salads. Lots of vegan cakes, too!

well established organic place

I like the cafe but its food can sometimes be a little stodgy / uninspiring. As a vegan Crimson rhino usually gets my vote.

Cosy and yummy

The Treehouse has been my favourite place to eat (and buy groceries) for very long time! It is very popular with the locals.

The food is all organic and local, with veggie, vegan and some meat options available. They have a breakfast menu, simple but wholesome, and a lunch menu which has several options like vegan burgers (with delicious potato wedges), AMAZING mixed and seasonal salads, hummus, vegan soups (2 each day), jacket potatoes etc. which is all so filling and yummy. There is also a specials board which is absolutely fantastic.. usually two vegan options and a meat.Such interesting and creative dishes, so flavoursome.. They are honestly divine! Mmm!.. There's a selection of cakes too (vegan options available, including vegan ice cream and custard), my favourite being the orange and poppyseed loaf or the tofu mousse cake! Also if you're a tea lover there is a massive selection of teas.

The atmosphere is lovely, so many cosy places to sit, a little library (where you can swap, take or donate books), a changing art gallery and toys/colouring books for young children.

Highly recommended

A few vegan options

A friendly little cafe that has a few vegan options. We had the veggie burger with potato wedges and mayo which was very nice. Prepared to order so it came out really hot. They also had a selection of vegan cakes although we didn't try them. Nice for lunch.

Pros: Vegan cake, Vegan margarine and mayo, Friendly staff

Cons: Also serves meat

good food

I ate here three times during my week in Aberystwyth. They always have two vegan soups of the day. Small bowl with roll, 3.75. I had Mediterranean vegetable soup with red lentils and paprika; another time I had root vegetable soup with barley, parsnip, etc., and homemade whole-wheat roll. Small Treehouse salad (greens plus two slaws), 3.25. Coffees and teas, cakes and baked treats, at least two vegan desserts. Some gluten-free items. Four hot main dishes each day (two vegan), such as pasta and Thai curry, plus regular menu of quiche, baked potatoes, salads, Welsh ploughman's lunch.
Very popular, and tables all filled at midday.
Breakfast 10:00-11:30. Lunch 12:00-3:30.
Mon-Fri 10-5, Sat 9-5.

Pros: vegan items, vegan soups, salads

Cons: crowded at lunchtime, too hard bun with veg burger

Yummy!

THE place to eat if you're vegan or vegetarian in Aberystwyth. Although not exclusively V, does good range of vegan food including some cakes. Relaxed atmosphere but can get busy so best to book a table for lunch times. Even has 'library' of eco books upstairs.

Pros: vegan options

Cons: not exclusively vegetarian, can get busy
