Great Food, Warm Welcome

Another rural Devon pub that welcomes all appetites. Family run and very friendly, Roger, the chef, likes to take the opportunity to personally ensure his diners are enjoying their food, leaving the kitchen to mingle and chat on a Sunday lunchtime, once everyone has been served. Three good vegan options in the mains and at least one decent dessert. Booking recommended Tuesday to Saturday (essential for Sunday). We've been here for several celebratory meals and if you let them know in advance, they have been known to make an extra special effort, with a birthday balloon at the table, etc. Great local beers and ciders, too, by the way.

Pros: Three great vegan main courses , At least one vegan ("proper") dessert , Incredibly friendly, family run pub.
