Vegan Menu But Not Like It Used To Be - Edit
This gastropub introduced a vegan menu, which I was told would change however not the case since I have been visiting. There is a choice on the current menu of:
roasted tomato soup or beetroot salad, blackpea & chilli burger on toasted muffin, onion rings, fries, piccalilli or butternut squash & chickpea curry, basmati rice, apple crumble with almond milk custard or choice of sorbets
On my last visit the food was not brilliant, the beetroot salad would have fed a sparrow then I was given a vegetarian burger with cheese on even though I ordered a vegan one and when the vegan burger did arrive, I was not impressed.
The head chef and manager who introduced the vegan menu have left and I left feeling that the vegan menu was a token gesture, they were not really interested and so I will not return especially as two places down the road have recently introduced much better vegan menus.

tasty vegan menu available - Edit
it's not easy to find a countryside pub where they don't shrug when you ask for vegan options. this gastro pub near Clitheroe even have a little separate menu that changes seasonally. the burger was tasty and the highlight was definitely the vegan rhubarb crumble with vegan custard!

Good seasonal vegan/veggie menu - Edit
This restaurant has a decent menu of a couple of choices for starters, mains and desserts. All home-made fare and seasonal produce.
Pros: Fresh ingredients, Wholesome, Nice country pub atmosphere
