Would give 5*'s if I could!

A separate veggie/vegan menu with a huge variety varying from Indian starters, a nutless nut roast, vegan pie and loaded flatbread. We had the pie & flatbread and both were unnnnnreal.

Some tables are dog friendly (we took our goldie and they all loved him and made a fuss), the staff are all so kind and welcoming and it's in a beautiful setting.

It gets very busy so book in advance, don't think twice!

Nice selection of vegan dishes

It's a nice pub and clearly very popular - I would advise booking in advance. The menu is extensive and includes a separate page of all the vegetarian and vegan options. There were five vegan main dishes to choose from on the menu, although one was unavailable on the day. I had the 'nutless nut roast' with sauted new potatoes, green beans, tenderstem broccoli, peas & a spicy tomato sauce - the roast was *very* tasty, staff were pleasant, helpful and efficient, the environment was very nice and prices are probably typical for a good quality country pub.

Pros: Very good food, quite a few veggie/vegan options, Nice atmosphere, Staff were very pleasant and helpful

Great choice for vegans

Nice to find a country pub with a separate vegetarian/vegan menu.

We tried the nut roast, which came plenty of vegetables and vegan gravy, and the green linguine, both were delicious.

Also great to have a choice of vegan desserts other than sorbet! Treacle tart and salted chocolate brownie were also very tasty.

Great service too.

Pros: Choice of vegan options, Service

Cons: No apple crumble on the menu

Good for vegans

Have visited several times & really enjoyed both food and service. There is a separate vegetarian/vegan menu and the food is imaginative, tasty & well presented. Meat eaters equally well catered for, but notable that my non vegan friends often choose from the vegan menu as it’s so nice. Most recently I had the warm salad with smoked tofu, sun dried tomatoes and 3 types of roasted potatoes, a really hearty meal leaving no room for the several different vegan desserts! I think other reviews on here are quite dated & the pub has changed hands, the owner is vegan and it’s part of their mission to bring vegan/veggie food centre stage.

Pros: Complete vegan/vegetarian menu, Food is imaginative , Friendly service

Stunning venue

This is a beautiful venue out in the country. Unfortunately it's amongst heavy fox hunting territory so it's great the pub does offer some vegan food in this environment. We found the vegan choices limiting although they do plant based themed evenings so those are probably better. The vegan food was creative and unusual albeit expensive. We want to go again when the menu has it's next seasonal change.

Pros: Beautiful venue

Cons: Limited vegan choices
