Just for looks.

I was craving some good Thai food while on vacation and decided to stop by here after doing some research. This place had many vegan options so it had me excited, especially since I love Thai curry’s. When I arrived the entrance and place has a great atmosphere that just screamed “this will be some good Thai food”

The staff was friendly and understanding and after a few misunderstandings we were able to order three dishes. And luckily a server realized the Pad Thai has fish sauce in it, which was not listed in the ingredients page, and for some reason is still a part of the “vegan” dish, and we had it removed thanks to his attention to detail. The staff were great.

When the food arrived and we had our first few bites, it was not so great. Very sweet, little to no flavours other than sweet. The red curry had a little bit of spice, although it was sadly drowned out in the sweetness of the dish. The pineapple rice was expected to be sweet, however it still tasted like it had also been sweetened a bit more than usual. And the pad Thai was as well, sadly, very sweet.

The environment as well was very hot, which is fine since it’s Mexico ( what would you expect). The table lighting was very bad that we had to set up our phone flashlights to see our food. And honestly this experience showed me how much better a meal can taste when you can actually see it, once I could see the pineapple rice, I actually enjoyed it more! However still the lighting was just so dim that in my opinion, it affects the dining experience.

Having tried many Thai restaurants, both vegan and vegan option places. This one was by far the sweetest dining experiences Ive had. The food and environment had me wanting to leave, which we did as soon as the dishes where done.

The price as well was very high for the portion sizes you receive. In the pictures you can see just how small the plates are, especially compared to some other places I have been to. The total was around $750 pesos for the 3 dishes.

Delicious curries

Good selection of vegan and vegetarian options, including fresh and fried spring rolls and they have a tofu option for all the curries.

I had the yellow curry with tofu and it was delicious!! The sauce was so savoury and rice and the tofu was nicely marinated and cooked.

My only complaint was I wish the portion had been bigger. The food is expensive how much you get, and would be easily improved with a larger serving of rice.

Pros: Yellow curry, Atmosphere

Cons: Expensive
