Cute diner with lots of vegan options - Edit
We had breakfast here on our layover in Vancouver and were not disappointed. We went in the morning and there was a queue but the retro decor and the vegan options is absolutely worth the wait. I had the Vegan Tofu Scramble with tex mex. It came with the veggie bacon and the whole thing was delicious. Relatively cheap considering the portion size! They also had a vegan BLT, poutine and vegan Cheese Melt sandwich. Lots of other stuff on the menu, definitely worth a visit if in Vancouver.

Delicious and filling vegan breakfast options, loved the retro decor. Went there with a big chaotic omni group, staff was super accommodating and we all had a great time.

I wanted to give a 5 star review - Edit
The app reserves 5 stars for fully vegan/vegetarian restaurants only, which makes sense, but this was a great experience! Service, food, vegan options All around great! Thanks happy cow!

A little gem - Edit
My partner and I are always looking for breakfast spots that I can eat vegan and he can get dinner food at. This is the perfect spot. I only tired the tofu scrambled, they were fine- could use some more seasoning but I did remove the bell peppers. The potatoes were fantastic! I got a side of avocado and put it on my toast!

My favourite spot to get a hangover brunch. The food is comfort diner food, don't expect gourmet. They have a ton of vegan options!

Tofu scramble breakfast option - Edit
More options for breakfast than expected; there were two tofu scramble options that were served in a large meal. Had option of daiya cheese or vegan bacon for $3. Very impressed with the tex-mex seasoning!

American breakfast place with an old school atmosphere - Edit
Since this place was marked as a "must" in my Lonely Planet guide, I stopped there for breakfast during my stay in Vancouver. I was actually delighted that this classic American style eatery goes with the trend and offers quite a few vegan options(unfortunately no sweet ones).
Read moreI had their Curry Tofu Scrambler with a side of veggie bacon. It was tasty and a fair portion, but the waiting time was unbelievably long! Their coffee cups are huge and you can get soy milk, though no fancy lattes or cappuccinos. Their prices are really ok regarding the central location. But you might face difficulty trying to find a place to sit, especially during the weekends.
Pros: Atmosphere, Location, Price
Cons: Cross-contamination may occur, Long waiting times, Crowded

Tasty breakfast food with 50s flair - Edit
Stopped by for breakfast twice during my visit to Vancouver. Was a great greasy spoon kind of place, though very busy both times. Had the vegan grilled cheese and it was honestly just as good as when I used to order the “real” kind before I was vegan. Friendly service too.

Plenty of Vegan & Vego Options - Edit
Although not a strictly vego restaurant, they a wide range of vegan & vegetarian food, including burgers, breakfast options, chilli ect for reasonable prices. I had the Vegan burger with a side of fries & it was to die for. Such a cute littler diner & heavily 50’s themed which is awesome, if you’re in the area, it’s a must.

great! - Edit
the first thought when entering this place was how popular it was. there was a full house and only one waitress on the floor but she didn't seem to struggle at all! I ordered the tofu scrambler and my mom had the farmers breakfast. my mom raved about her meal and how fresh it was. my meal was delicious and hearty.

Great inexpensive food - Edit
This cute little diner is a hidden gem in the downtown area of Vancouver. It has a fabulous mushroom burger, milkshakes and a large variety of drinks. The service was quick and very polite. The old diner interior is fun and playful.

A good big breakfast - Edit
Very busy diner location, with a staff to match. Quick on their feet and with their wit. Fun though.
Read moreBreakfast tasted very good, and was very well marked on the menu. Waitress was very knowledgable about options, and food came quickly.
Enjoyed the meal, just be prepared to walk through a dirty Granville Street... which is party central even on weekday nights.

Cons: Dirty area due to party scene

Good food but I'm too crazy about it - Edit
They do have quite few vegan options such as vegan chilli, portobello burger, lentil loaf, tofu scramble. The tofu scramble was alright but not the best one I had in my life. I really likes the portobello burger though!

Vegan options need modifications - Edit
Gotta love how their portobello burger comes with cheese... Anyways, they have a few vegan options and they are willing to make some substitutions. I tried the vegan lentil loaf but didn't really care for it. The fries were lackluster. Not sure why this place gets such high praise..

My favorite tofu scramble in town - Edit
Anyone else watch Fringe and notice they filmed heavily at Tempelton recently? I was exicted when I saw that.
Read moreAnyways, while they do serve a lot of animal meat and secretions they have some of my favorite vegan food stuffs. It's also in a great location on Granville in the middle of everything.
My favorite is the Huevos Rancheros, substituting tofu scramble for eggs and extra salsa rather than sour cream. Their regular tofu scramble is pretty awesome too.
While I prefer eating breakfast there I also enjoy their veggie BLT. I just ask for no mayo and put on lot of mustard('cause I love mustard). They do use honey in their salad dressing though, so I just get fries(not exactly a healthy meal, but it's good).
I also recommend the lentil loaf with garlic mashed potaoes and mushroom gravy.
Food aside, it's also a super cute diner with litte jukeboxes at the booths. Control the music for a quarter a song if you like. It's fun :)
Pros: Atmosphere, Affordable, Great location
Cons: serves animals, vegan options can seem limited

Not very many vegan options - Edit
I had read online that they had vegan pancakes, but was told that this is not true. I had the baked grapefruit and fried potatoes with mushroom gravy, as I was not hungry enough for the tofu scramble, the only other vegan option on the menu. They were both good, and the gravy was really good. I wouldn't go here if you wanted variety, but I would go here if looking for a vegan breakfast with omnivore friends when downtown.

The Templeton, Vancouver - Edit
I rocked in here for breakfast this am. Normally in writing a review I am inclined to mark down a place that isn't 100% vego based upon my core philosophical life values. I accept others can disagree with that but it certainly isn't something I am going to apologise for. Sometime though there are places that still score well and this is one.
Read moreIt's open 7 days from 9 am to 11 pm except on Friday and Saturday nights when it's open til 1 am. Before you walk in there is a chalkboard outside in the street with the quote from the day. The place is in the format of a North American style diner. Underneath the glass on the tables are photos and postacrds from what looks like some sort of 1960s road trip.
I asked the waitress what I could have that was vegan vego friendly. I was immediately directed to the tofu scramble and also told that the farmer's breakfast could be done without cheese and eggs. I went for the tofu scramble, it comes served with toast and fried potatoes, very pleasant and decent value at $9 including tax.
It's located in the heart of the main area for bars and clubs in Vancouver on Granville St in the middle of downtown. The vibe of the place is great and if you are out and about in this part of town then it's defo worth a visit.
Pros: vegan vego friendly, Open long hours, Location & atmo
Cons: Not 100% vego
