Great spot - Edit
I had a lovely oat cappuccino and vegan cinnamon bun here. Owners are really friendly. There are also plenty of vegan grocery items that can be bought or eaten picnic style while there.

Harris must go - Edit
We've been coming to Temple cafe since the day Reuben installed his coffee machine. It's been through different guises since then but still one of the places we love to go on Harris. Vegan now limited to a cake option but you can buy bread and spreads to eat in the cafe. Recommend

Great range of vegan options - Edit
Vegan raspberry flapjack was delicious. There’s also a wide range of savoury jars and crackers on their shelves which you can buy. The friendly owners will give you a plate and knives to make a picnic from their shelf items. Lovely oat cappuccino as well.

Terrible service - Edit
If I’m honest the experience was terrible, only came for two coffees and some cakes and the whole thing was dragged out for fifteen minutes because the woman behind the counter couldn’t work the card reader. Good coffee but food wasn’t worth the wait.

Nice coffee, reduced vegan offering - Edit
Temple was once to be the place to go for vegan food in Harris. Sadly they seem to have reduced their fresh food offerings at the expense of vegans and had nothing fresh to eat last time I visited apart from animal products. Still good coffee and vegan milks but I left with a rumbling belly. A shame.

Homemade food with a view! - Edit
We had lunch at this lovely place with great views and friendly service. They had two options for lunch of which one was vegan: tomato, lentil and basil soup with homemade bread. The soup was very good, you could taste it was very fresh. Very nice bread as well. They have soy, almond and oat milk for coffee. We also ordered a homemade herbal soda with herbs from the island, which was really nice. Affordable as well. We would definitely recommend this place!
