The food is exceptional. I wish I lived closer to visit more often, I have now been twice. Highly recommended. Best vegan meals I've had.

My wife and I were staying in Middleton and saw this place had vegan options, so booked a table. We expected pretty run of the mill vegan pub options, but the food is of a much higher standard than what you typically get in a place that is listed as "veg-options". One of the two menus wasn't clearly labelled and one was, but the staff were all knowledgeable about veganism and happy to help. We liked it so much the first night that we came back the next night, and although the vegan options aren't extensive, there's enough that we ate something different both nights, and everything we had was exceptionally tasty!

Always love going to the Teesdale. We take guests a lot as there is plenty of choice for everyone and always top quality. Lovely staff too.

This is quite local to me so I eat here often. The menu changes every now and then but there are always vegan options. The burgers and pies are always good and the staff are always very helpful

Nice traditional pub. Can eat in bar or in dining room. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great range of food. Vegetarian and vegan options a plenty in all sections of menu. Had the sweet potato beetroot and sweet pepper relish burger. V nice and good chips!

Great for Vegans - Edit
Great food - above your average pub grub - and well priced. A range of meat/ fish dishes but a decent offering of veggie and vegan dishes - some advertised as vegan versions of the advertised meat or fish dish. We come to Middleton in Teesdale about once a year - and always eat at the Teesdale. Never been disappointed and always good service. Open fire in the colder months too.

How lovely to find somewhere with a very good vegan menu outside of a large town. There was a good choice of starters , mains and desserts and the burgers we chose were delicious. The only problem we had was there was so much we couldn't finish it all !
