excellent atmosphere, great food, super chill. - Edit

So glad to have been able to frequent this place while it was still open! The tofu burger is awesome, best we've had in Chiang mai, and the fresh/raw spring rolls have the most amazing dip. So good. We also bought some all natural shampoo while here (for super cheap), and absolutely love it! Oh yeah, and the kombucha, although expensive, was super delish (not overly vinegar-y like some places). Hope to see them reopen soon so we can come back during our next Chiang mai visit :)

Pros: great atmosphere, lovely staff , tasty and healthy food!

Cons: a little on the expensive side for some things

Nourishing community hub - Edit

**After February they are closing - temporarily as I understand it - to relocate. So check directly with them before visiting.

The overall vibe is non-rushed, stay as long as you like, relax, recline. Floor seating, cushions, guitars, plenty of spaces.

Food: delicious, organic, mostly vegan. The tofu burger is the best, 90tbh. The tea selection includes Ayurvedic blends plus old favourites - loved the soy chai, 60tbh. The smoothies were my least favourite, mostly coconut milk, 80tbh.

What I recommend most are the events. I LOVED the Open Mic nights. By the end of the evening I'd feel so energised & inspired by the beautiful people who got up & shared something. I got to enjoy diverse music, spoken word, magic, even a Karen rapper.

Tea Tree really embodies the overall feel of Chiang Mai - creative yet inclusive, buzzing with life yet relaxed.

Pros: tofu burger is ace, events are inspiring!

Cons: smoothie flavours could be improved, no coffee, but it IS a tea cafe so.. fair enough

delicious salads and produce - Edit

This cafe has beautiful fresh salads and drinks to satisfy your raw food cravings. It's upstairs and a little hard to find. Nice cushions and very chill set up.

Pros: delicious raw produce, organic drinks

Cons: dark interior

Almost all Vegan - Edit

Cool restaurant that has now gone vegan, except that they still offer honey and bee pollen as options. Neither of these are vegan. This restaurant should remove these items and stop selling jars of honey if they really want to claim to be fully vegan now.
Food is good though, but be prepared that it takes a little while and you have to sit on the floor on cushions and low bamboo tables.

Laid back western place - Edit

Ate here ones on my trip to CM. Had a iced lemon-ginger-tea. This was nice, really strong ginger. Then ordered a fresh spring roll. These were huge and wery delicious. Served with sweet'n'sour chili sauce. Food was great, the place was nice and the toilet was clean. The service was a bit slow, but it was because there were over 10 of us and they prepared every dish from the sratch after order.
Price a bit more expensive than other places, but as said, this is a western style palce, run by westeners for westeners.
They had WIFI.

Pros: Taste, Portion size, Clean toilet

Cons: Price, Slow service

Very cool place to relax - Edit

The café is the perfect to hang out after a long day. It is so confortable to sit and the music and the whole ambiente is relaxing the mind.
In my opinion the food is great and I cannot understand if people say it's blond. I had the flatbread with fried veggies and you can see and taste that it is made with love. It takes a little longer as they make it fresh but it is worth the waiting. The coconut chai is great too.
I can't say anything bad about it except that it sometimes opens later than 5.

Pros: great food, even raw, relaxing atmosphere, convenient sitting

Awesome ice cream - Edit

I've been there once so far and I really liked the atmosphere. It's nice to seat on cushions but a little bit hard when you are not used eating like that.

Their whole wheat bread is great, in a Veggie Flatbread filled with vegetables.

The Tahini dip with vegetables was a little bit boring...

Both savory dishes were with lack of salt in my opinion. So, it's a bad good thing because I know it's much more healthy :)

But the amazing think was the peanut butter with banana ice cream. So good!

Pros: vegan-friendly, ice cream

Cons: no chairs

Nice Place, Boring Food - Edit

This place has a nice colourful and relaxing vibe but that's as much as I can say for it. We had a tahini and pita plate which was very uninspiring and fresh spring rolls which were rubbery and bland. The healthy spirulina shake and tea that we tried weren't enjoyable but this is obviously down to personal taste. The menu is sparse and the dishes very simple. There are so many really good vegetarian restaurant s in Chiang Mai that I can't really recommend going here.

Pros: Relaxed Atmosphere

Cons: Bland Food Choices, Tourist Prices

Relaxed - Edit

Very good food without worrying about animal product being mixed in. Menu is small but covers the basics that a tea/coffee shop should. Prepare to lounge on the floor, Thai style.

Pros: Good Food, Relaxed Atmosphere , Decorative

Cons: Floor Sitting

delicious soul food in a calm and happy space - Edit

the food is divine.

veggie flat bread (whole wheat home-made) with black sesame seeds, super salads with sprouts n otra yummness. tempting toasted tofu, fresh raw guacamole, spring rolls, amazing porrige in any flavor, omelettes, crepes, cookies, superfoods like cacoa, spirilina etc.

teas and chai in so many variations, hot or iced, mocha with real cocoa, coconut milk options... mmmm
they even sell bags of chai herbs for 100Bht.

the atmosphere is chilled and colourful, with cushions and flowy material, plants and sculptures, art on walls, ceiling and floor, second hand clothes, books for rent, guitars in every corner, handmade and local art and organic products. even hula hoops.

the service is wonderful. the people who work there are kind and make each meal to order, with love.

they have jam nights, movie nights and an informative notice board out the front with heaps of creative workshops.

it's very affordable and well worth every penny. meals ranging from 30bht to 100bht or so.

Sublimely mellow and peaceful space with delicious wholesome tea blends and a naturalistic vibe where you can escape the sometimes touristic noisiness of the city. Affordable vegetarian dishes such as the crammed-full veggie flat-bread and earthy super-salad (sprouts and nuts galore!)leave you feeling satiated and healthy. The owner / teamaker / cook does it all herself and is both knowledgeable and helpful with regards to vegan / veggie preferences, not to mention pretty hot!

Stay for the musical jam night on Thursdays and other numerous events that put on!

Pros: Delicious food and drinks, Excellent Atmosphere, Fun events

Cons: Needs more of that delicious food!

Just Great! :-) - Edit

I love the Tea Tree Cafe! It's a lovely place to have coffee/ tea, eat and hang out. The food is delicious and there is big variety of vegetarian food and a nice choice of coffees and special tees. The Masala Chai is the best in Chiang Mai, I love it. I can also recommend the Banana Pancakes! For the drinks and food the best ingredients are used. If you haven't been there yet, make sure you visit the Tee Tree Cafe! Its super comfortable, there are movie evenings and jam sessions (check on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theteatreechiangmai )

Pros: lots of love in the food, best Masala Chai in Chiang Mai :), healthy
