Perfect vegan breakfasts! - Edit
I've been here so many times and it never disappoints! They have my favorite biscuits and gravy (three different varieties to choose from) and incredible pancakes and waffles. Their lunch food is great too, like their chicken parm sandwich, but I go here for breakfast.

Blandest vegan food I’ve had - Edit
Cute atmosphere, great coffee drinks, but ordered three different breakfast entrees and was definitely disappointed. Tofu scramble and tots were bland, which isn’t great sign when that’s the base of your dishes. I’m not picky whatsoever: this is the first vegan restaurant I’ve been to of probably 30 that I didn’t like, and it didn’t come close to living up to the hype it gets.

wanted to love it, missed the mark for me - Edit
i wanted to love it to support an authentic local vegan place and my experience fell a bit short:(i got the omelette and i found it to be a fairly bland flavor and it didn’t taste like an omelette or an omelette replacement at all, so it just wasn’t what i expected it to be. i would definitely go back to try other things on the menu though

We ordered the Greek tofu scramble (spinach, tomato, tofu) which was very flavorful and tasty (get it?)! It also came with a side of home fries or tator tots or waffle fries. We also ordered the weekend special tres leches tropical pancakes (pinapple, mango, banana, strawberry, and cantaloupe, with coconut cream and maple syrup), which was outstanding! Definitely will return!

i get the same thing everytime because its so good- the biscuits with bacon gravy! cant speak for anything else on their menu besides that and their lattes, but would def rec both of those! i've never had a problem getting seated on a weekday after 10am, too.

I was fully prepared to love it, but unfortunately, The Tasty fell flat for me. We ordered an omelet, monte cristo, and bayou biscuits and gravy, and all were extremely under seasoned and bland. The omelet was more like a savory pancake folded over the filling. The “feta” was diced tofu that had been marinated and cooked. Okay, but definitely not feta. The gravy was very thick and tasted like chalky raw flour and not much else. Everything had to be generously seasoned with salt and pepper to be made edible.

Cozy corner Vegan - Edit
1st time here. Street parking was challenging to find and a tight squeeze. This location is in a corner. Currently only pick up - no dine in option. They have you pick up and order from outside. Service was cold, unfriendly, and inefficient. She was not helpful with suggestions. She also did not write anything down and ultimately missed an entire entree from my order. I had their special of the day - a honey mustard chicken wrap with tater tots. Wrap was good. Good serving size and good flavor. Nothing special about the tots. Could have been an off day for service. I would come back and try again.

Didn't love diners, until now! - Edit
I never enjoyed going to diners because the vegan options were so limited. I have yet to find another 'vegan diner' out there, but even if I did I'm sure they couldn't compare to The Tasty. Everything we have had here has been incredible and has left us craving more for weeks after.

This place was delicious! They have a great selection of breakfast/brunch options and we were so satisfied with what we got—. Breakfast burrito and chicken and waffles with the whipped cream and berries. They are only doing take out right now so we took the food across the street and ate in the sun at a picnic table in the park.

I absolutely adore their breakfast sandwiches and omelettes, but if you’re lucky enough to get there at a time when they’ve got their carrot cake pancake special it is to die for. They still don’t have indoor seating as of October 2022, but the park across the street has some nice picnic tables that make for a lovely breakfast.

A must in south Philly if you’re around in the morning. Tasty coffee with the accompaniment of a great donut! Dessert first then onto any one of their wonderful breakfast meals.

We ordered breakfast from The Tasty one morning and it was great! I had a tofu omelette with veggies and coconut bacon with home fries. The potatoes were delicious and the omelette had great flavor and plenty of veggies! The coconut bacon was small crispy pieces with no smoke flavor which is my favorite kind of bacon but if you like the more typical smokey or flavored strips of tempeh then this bacon probably isn't for you lol

The food is absolutely amazing however we were sad to see that they are still not allowing indoor dining. Having said that we picked up our food and ate it on the car. It was absolute magic! Best breakfast burrito ever!!! You must try this place!

This place tastes so good, it's as if Vegan Jesus himself individually kissed all of your tastebuds. My favorite French toast ever is here. Breakfast burrito is bangin and has delicious non-violent cheese. Why would anyone take baby cows away from their mothers and kill them when vegan cheese is this good? Why would anyone grind up baby male chicks alive when this tofu scramble is seasoned with such a delicate whisper of love and affection? I very much hope they open for in person dining again soon because that greatly enhances the experience.
