Fraudulent - Edit
The Sweet Botanist is a fraud and is currently under investigation by local police and my bank. I placed an order and reached out to the business several times for clarification on pick up details, and was ignored for nearly a week. Only after I requested the order be cancelled did the business respond (within 15 minutes) and tell me it was my fault for not texting them instead of emailing (despite the order confirmation coming to my email, not text). They informed me they do not offer refunds so we agreed on a pick-up time and location. I left a review of the business outlining my unhappiness with their customer service and the way I was blamed for them not being responsive to paying customers. After the review was left, the business owner threatened me with legal action unless I removed the review and instructed me not to come to pick-up my order. She clearly is unaware of US law, which would require her to provide me with my money back if SHE is the one cancelling the order. I disputed the charge with my bank and was given the money back since the business very clearly committed fraud. They are also under investigation with their local police department.

Read moreYour order was ready for pick-up and you never showed. You requested a refund four days after ordering, which violates our Terms of Service… you agreed to them at checkout. We haven’t offered the service you requested (a Harrisburg Meet Up) at all in 2025, and you placed your order without even asking if a meet up was possible. That is your negligence!
You may have temporarily received a refund, but it is under review, and our lawyers and the bank have all evidence, including your nasty messages, your agreed to TOS, and photos of your prepared order you never picked up.
Your claims are lies, malicious, and damaging. Attacking a small vegan business with false accusations is disgusting and will not be tolerated. Posting defamatory statements is illegal and actionable, we will pursue all legal remedies available.
The only legal action ever threatened was in response to your malicious lies.

I am absolutely appalled by this review. Amber and The Sweet Botanist are a small, female owned vegan business who pour their heart, soul, and creativity into every order. The claims here are utterly false and malicious. To attack her with lies, after all the care she gives her customers, is disgusting, cruel, and unacceptable. Anyone reading this should know: Amber is honest, hardworking, and completely dedicated, and spreading false accusations like this is shameful and outrageous! You should be ashamed of yourself!!!!

We ordered a vegan holiday dinner from The Sweet Botanist, and it was the best decision ever. The flavors, the presentation, the ease! It all made our celebration feel extra special. vegan gem in York - Edit
Happy to find The Sweet Botanist at Grey Apple Holiday Market recently, the owner really is sweet! Tried an apple cinnamon donut and southwestern empanada with broccoli salad. Both were delicious! All the meals and desserts listed on the website sound delicious, I wish it was within my budget to try more of their offerings. Since moving to York recently, I've found limited vegan options. Having a gem like this nearby is fantastic! It would be awesome for them to have a shop, market booth or cafe one day.
