Beautiful mushroom pie - Edit
I do love a good pie on a rainy day, and that’s what I got here. The mushroom and ale pie was hearty and rich with a gorgeous puff pastry on top. There was another vegan option (options seem to switch up now and then) and a good range of drinks. The staff were lovely and accommodating; the pub over all has a family-feel to it, and the low beams and rustic fireplace adds to the countryside pub atmosphere. The food is a bit pricey, but I would definitely go again!

Several vegan options, including mushroom and ale pie and tagine. I chose the pie, expecting a shop brought one, but it was homemade and amazing. Highly recommended.

Traditional coastal pub with good vegan options - Edit
Two vegan mains (mushroom and ale pie, lentil and veg burger) and two vegan desserts (apple pie, hot choc fudge cake). Friendly and very quick service. Dinner from 6pm

Nice, seasonally changing, vegan options. - Edit
On our visit there were 2 vegan options and 3 veggie options on the main menu which change regularly. On the main menu for vegans was a Moroccan tagine or mushroom and Guinness pie. For dessert, an apple pie or hot chocolate fudge cake with vegan ice cream. Had the mushroom pie and chocolate cake which were delicious. Ordered some bar snacks beforehand and the member of staff was really helpful in checking which crisps/nuts were vegan. Dog friendly in garden and bar area.

A classic British pub, done well. Probably my favourite pub in Sidmouth. Don't be put off by only 3 vegan main options - they're good and they change regularly.
