I have a few favorite restaurants that I am absolutely in love with and any time I visit the city/country, I have to eat there. The Sun Vegan is in my top three. I’m so sad I no longer live in SoCal (OC to be specific) but since all my family lives here, I’m always visiting and try to get my favorite bowl of the Pho Royal Noodle Soup.The staff are always kind, enthusiastic, and loving. You can taste the passion and love in the food. I just ate here the other day, but writing this makes me want another bowl.

Friendly, fast, and delicious! - Edit
Based on the recommendation of the very friendly woman working, I got the Spicy Lemongrass. It was soy chicken with veggies, side of rice and their special side salad. The whole thing was delicious, but surprisingly that side salad was to die for. I could make a meal out of that. My take out took less than ten minutes and only cost ten dollars. You can't beat any of that.

Ive been in the OC area all week and only eaten at vegan restaurants and they have not disappointed. With that said, this place does not disappoint either! Vietnamese food is by far my favorite asian cuisine so I was excited to come here. I ordered spring rolls and the Royal Pho Noodle Soup. Both were delicious! The sauce for the spring rolls was fantastic. The broth for the pho was also delicious. I won’t hesitate to come back here on my next trip to Cali.

Tucked way back in a random strip mall in Fountain Valley is a sparkling oasis of food made with love and sunshine. Buttercup and I decided to grab some lunch before we did a little shopping and Sun Vegan came highly recommend.
Read moreWe were greeted eagerly and seated and given water and menus. We ordered spring rolls, lemongrass chik'n and vermicelli with salad and crispy rolls. Both of the entrees came with a crisp salad, the lemongrass chicken was very flavorful and the mixed grain rice was hearty and delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the crispy roll on the vermicelli but the mushrooms more than made up for it. The salad had apple and there were pomegranate seeds that added a complimentary sweet component to the earthy ness of the protein and mushrooms.
Spring rolls were really good with crisp veggies and a bit of a crunch.
Service was amazing!

The Sun Vegan is among my favorite fully plant-based restaurants. Everything about the place is adorable, the staff is sweet and attentive, and the food is not only delicious but is a bit more affordable than many plant-based places. My friend and I left very impressed after our first time going. She took her family for her birthday the next week, and we ran into each other when I took a close friend!

The location is potentially confusing, but if you walk through the path in the corner of the plaza you'll find it closer to the homes in the neighborhood. When I know in advance where I'm going, I scout the area on google maps and get a street view so that it's easy to be prepared.

Delicious and flavorful...all vegan. They were able to make some gluten free options for us and told us it would take a little longer but we got served after the rest of our party was finished. We had the noodle tomato soup and the tofu lemongrass - both were very tasty and I would order them again. The service was ok.

If you are in this area, go, don't think twice. The only bad thing is that it is hard to find. The complex is between Lilac and Edinger. Once you are in the shopping center go into the back of the shopping center. It is well worth to find it because it is so so delicious!! All vegan!

The friendly and plentiful service at Sun Vegan only adds to the dining experience. The plates are large and perfect for sharing family-style. Food is brought out as it is ready rather than all at once. The flavor profiles, textures and colors add to the dining experience. Spicy Lemongrass and Phon Xao were among the favorites we tried. When the chef is not cooking, he comes out to the dining room and plays beautiful music on the piano!
