Uhhhh osh kosh boogawsh wonders and some other stuff

Let's not mention the title of this review. So, I ate at Sudra. It was really good. So I'm not Indian or anything, but I'm also kind of a purist about Indian food. Like Sudra deserves a solid 4, in my opinion, but it's like off a little bit from normal Indian food. The flavors were great, I have nothing quality-wise to complain about. It's just not quite what I want from Indian food to warrant a perfect 5. It's like when you go into a room and the furniture is like perfect, but there's something about the Feng Shui that gives you the heebee jeebees, ya know? You know.

Pros: Great flavors and original take on Indian classics, Totally nothing wrong with it, Great cocktails

Cons: It's not like real Indian food, Colonist Indian food? Is that a thing?, A little expensive

Another fave!

One of our favorite all-vegan spots in PDX! You can randomly pick any dish on the menu, and I can guarantee you’ll enjoy it. However, our personal favorites are the Kati Roll Thali (with tofu paneer) and the Soy Curl Tikka Masala. Everything has so much flavor and leave us wanting for more!

Pros: Big portions, Everything (yes, everything) is delicious

Soup and Salad

I ordered the Lentil Tamarind Soup (lentils, carrots, red onions, and Yukon gold potatoes) and Peacock Salad (kale in tahini dressing, soy curls, ginger agave roasted carrots, bell peppers, and corn). The soup was a little spicy for my low tolerance. The tahini salad dressing is so good that I actually enjoy the kale despite my general dislike for it. My partner and I split a piece of black seed naan, which was okay, but not worth $6.

Pros: all vegan

Best Indian food!

Everything tastes amazing and nothing is too greasy. Even the Poori wasn't dripping with oil, and the samosas, more like empanadas, went really well with the Channa. Kale Dosa is still the smash hit though, and the Tikka Masala is heavenly.

My favorite restaurant

I love this place so much! Fresh, delicious Indian food with a lovely atmosphere! It’s a vegan restaurant, but my friends don’t even notice because it just blends right in! They have a great menu with lots of choices, and you can mix and match with small plates, or get a big plate to share!

Pros: Amazing menu, Easy to please with friends, Multiple locations! Great outdoor areas!
