What a happy discovery - Edit
This was a singularly delightful meal & experience. Owner / front of the house / matre de Paul was amazing & accommodating. He kept us entertained & quite well-fed. We all agreed we couldn't recall having had a better meal or dining experience. Reservations recommend as they only take 20 diners per night. Everything seems local & house made. New and wonderful flavors w each bite. The offerings are creative & quite delicious. I'd never had cauliflower pecoras before. What a treat we're going back tomorrow. You won't be disappointed

Incredible food, great people - Edit
I was blown away by this place. You must have reservations in advance, because it is a very small operation with limited capacity and super fresh ingredients. The staff is extremely accommodating. We shouldn’t have had a spot but somehow lucked out inquiring the day of and were able to get a spot for two. There were several vegan options available. The falafel is the best I’ve ever had in my life, by a huge margin. Incredibly fresh ingredients, amazing flavor, perfect texture - crispy outside but very soft inside, and served with the perfect compliments of flavor. I also got the cauliflower pakora with tamarind that was incredible. I was utterly enchanted by the folks who work there; they are amazing. The owner is a super interesting, intelligent, thoughtful person and sat and chatted with us for a while. Amazing gem, be sure to visit! Great option if you are dining with omnivores, something for everyone to blow your mind. The only con is that there are limited spaces available, but I think that’s actually a pro - the small size is part of what makes the experience special and intimate.

Truly a hidden vegan gem - Edit
I can’t believe that I am the first person to review this wonderful gem of a place which offers vegan options. I saw a Google review which highly recommended for one to come here if they are vegan so made the point of trying it. I was blown away by the presentation and selection! You must make reservations here as their capacity for entire evening is 20 and all food is freshly prepared to order. I went three nights in a row.
Read moreThe menu changes nightly. The first evening I went , they prepared a mezze plate of their vegan options which was huge, delicious and so filling! That night there was a vegan dessert- cranberry sorbet. Have never had that and it tasted so good!
The second evening I had a mango gazpacho which was creamy and something had never heard of nor tried- wow! The main was a falafel salad with hummus and bread sticks. Again generous portions and very filling.
The third night ( they had not planned to open but people were asking so they did) I was served smoked tomato soup with sundried tomato focaccia on the side which was filling. They had mango gazpacho and falafel salad on offer again which I had already tried . They would usually make a vegan option off menu but as they were closing the next day they were trying to serve what they already had.
If you are a foodie and want to indulge in an elevated vegan eating experience then make sure to visit Stowaway at least once while in Roatan. I did - three nights in a row! Unforgettable experience which was a top highlight for me while visiting Roatan.
