Really really good

Great quality genuinely homemade food. There are a few vegan options including a burger, a lentil veg bean & tofu stew with dumplings, sides, a panini and a dessert with vegan ice cream or custard along with an additional option on the specials board which we unfortunately didn’t notice until too late.
The batter on the cauliflower fritters and the onion rings was outstanding!
Manager was knowledgeable regarding which beers are vegan too.

Decent vegan options

A few vegan options in both the starters and mains including cauliflower fritters (pictured) and garlic mushrooms on toast, as well as a soup, with mains including a burger, a buffalo chickpea ciabatta sandwich (pictured) and a lentil and tofu stew with dumplings. The coleslaw is vegan and vegan mayo is the only mayo served in the condiments. All that’s missing are some vegan desserts other than vegan ice cream/sorbet. A vegan sticky toffee pudding would be perfect here!

Rural Yorkshire pub with delicious vegan options
