Friendly, good food

Stopped here for lunch after a hike. Smoothie was awesome. I had the bean pate sandwich, my boyfriend had the sprout sandwich. Was very pleased with the service, friendly staffer took our order and food was ready promptly.

Pros: All vegan , Huge menu

Cons: A little pricey for what it is

Just ok

We were really excited to try this place for breakfast but were very underwhelmed. There was hardly any breakfast options which I found odd since they open so early. Staff wasn't very friendly, we felt like we were bothering them. We ordered 2 waffles, a smoothie bowl, a hot tea and a cup of water. We were also the only customers there. After about 10 minutes we recieved our waffles. Pretty disappointed by these!!! I was expecting like a homemade Belgium waffle style meal and these looked like 2 tiny, store bought freezer waffles, def not homemade. They were flimsy and cold. They had a bunch of fruit on them so that was good, at least. Would never order those again and they really shouldn't even offer them. Then after another 10 minutes and when we had finished out freezer toaster waffles we received out smoothie bowl. This was big and pretty good. A few more minutes we received the hot tea only after asking for it. We never received the water. Why does it take over 20 minutes for a hot tea??? No clue how this place has been in business so long... we usually dont have anything negative to say about anywhere but this was a big disappointment and will probably never return.

Our original owner liked the gluten-free waffles which were made by Vans, However we have discontinued the waffles as we like to offer Fresh options for breakfast. Our all Acai and Pitaya bowls are very popular for breakfast, as well as our granola or oatmeal bowls with fresh sliced strawberries. We also offer a nice fresh fruit salad in three sizes, which is always made to order; so sometimes it takes a little extra time. Also a popular breakfast item is our potato o’clock burrito if you’re looking for something that is not fruit or a smoothie or cashew nut milkshake. We do have a new staff as of 2020 and 2021 and a great new manager so we welcome you to give us another try.

Never again

I had hair in my food. I know stuff happen I’m ok with that but I’m so disappointed in the staff. They were blaming each other. Which I thought was very immature. It was very awkward like no one knew what to say or do. I asked for a refund. It took a minute because no one knew how to do it. Then finally, one of the girl knew how to do it. She told me she voided the whole things. Then she had to recharger my card for everything else. Not even offer anything else. I wish they had a better staff or maybe better training on situation like this.

Pros: Lot of food but....

Cons: Need to improve on staff , Cussing out the door where the kids were playing , Not very family welcome

Very, very good

Got the Guacamole Potato Burrito and it was amazing. Lots of avocado so definitely worth the $9 price point. Also highly recommend the soft serve!

Great burritos and friendly service

I have eaten twice at the stand and both times were really good. The steamed veggies burrito with guacamole is the best. The staff is so sweet and the waiting time for food is not long.

Pros: Great menu, Sweet staff, Cheap

Cons: No coffee

Good food, bad service

We got one of our items within a few minutes but the second one they told us after they gave us our first item it would take 15 minutes it took almost 30/40 minutes and when I asked about it. They said someone must have taken it... what does that even mean. Just seems like bad service and they clearly forgot and we were on a meter and had to put more money it. Kind of lame.

Meh

The food is bland honestly. I'd only stop here if I need a quick bite and not care about what I eat. I ordered a side of chips and it was very little and the sauce w it was really bland. Why not make the menu smaller and perfect each item to its best?

Pros: Lots of options

Cons: Bland food, Why would the burritos be cold? , I bought a better vegan burrito for $7 in L.A

Huge menu available

Cute little to-go cafe with a few outdoor seats available. Menu is huge and most item menus appear to be raw. Pretty standard pricing.

Pros: lots of options

Cons: Space outside can be tight if more than 8 people a, Service not that efficient. While we were eating, , Order window and pick up window is the same window

LOVE

The stand is my favorite vegan option in OC! Right off PCH, they never disappoint. Always a labor of love. Their avocado sandwich and guacamole are my favorite. Avocado lyfee, and they don’t skimp!

Neat, nice little place!

I went here after a long day at the beach! ☺️
I ordered a tamale and it was great! It came looking pretty with a cucumber and tortilla chip. :3
Also had a small strawberry soft serve, which is only in a lil sample cup, I wish it was more! It was like a smoothie texture (more than creamy ice cream) so a bigger one may be more worth it.
Bonus--I love how The Stand is Eco friendly with compostables, mostly local and organic foods, and they say they've been there for 40 years (vegan, wow!)
I'm looking forward to coming back when I'm in the area!

Pros: Variety, Healthy, Eco

Cons: Small , Pricey

Really nice, weird prices

Nice place with a nice atmosphere.
A big menu for such a small place. Not a lot of sitting space.

Not cheap at all - for example, sandwiches cost about 12$.

It was great food, though. Everything we tried was great.

Great service (considering the nature of the place - just a small stand).

Pros: Great food, good service

Cons: Costly, Not comfortable for sitting

large selection of vegan items

Was super impressed with how many choices they have. Definitely put in this restaurant on my list of favorites and places to revisit.
Outdoor seating only so I could see they are not being an available place to sit if it is lunch or dinner time.

Pros: selection, prices

Cons: not a lot of places to sit and eat when busy

41 years and still going

We finally made it to the Stand with some out of town friends who were staying in Laguna Beach. The menu was definitely large and I had a hard time deciding. I got the bean, rice and guacamole burrito while Dirk got the blueberry waffles. Our friends ordered the veggie burger, granola bowl, tamale plate and sunflower seed salad. The burrito was bland and I had to add hot sauce as did our friend with the tamale. The waffle came with a lot of fruit on top which was nice, but the waffle itself seemed store bought. The burger got an okay review as did the granola while the salad was huge. Dirk also got a small papaya soft serve which was good. We were able to sit in the shade under the tree. The Stand has been operating for 41 years and is still busy with customers, so I really wanted to love it, but the food just seemed a bit bland and stuck in the 70s. Glad we had a option while in town though.

Pros: all vegan, nice staff

Cons: bland and 70s-ish
