Great vegan options, inclusive, and one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had - Edit
Really enjoyed our visits here, came 2/4 days. Vegan menu had lots of pizza and tapas options and felt very inclusive. Great venue and atmosphere with lovely staff. Really recommend. We had tapas night one and pizzas night two and enjoyed both. Lovely find in Keswick!

Cosy little place with a separate vegan menu. No bookings but we only waited 10 minutes for a table. Had the pizza which had great tasting vegan mozzarella. We went for 3 tapas, patatas bravas, peppers and the garlic mushrooms (my favourite). Great cocktails which were good and strong and had a delicious Mojito 😋

We got here just after 5pm on a Thursday evening in July, and over the next hour, it got busy, so that people were waiting outside. They don’t do reservations. Very efficient and pleasant waitresses. Food came quickly and was very nice. Lovely breads, garlic cheesey bread, tapas, mmm. Wouldn’t bother with the corn side again, it is just dried up bits of sweetcorn. The padron peppers were covered in delicious salt! Would definitely return. Just felt slightly awks at the end when the waitress hands you the payment machine with all the tip options on the first screen.

This is a good vegan option in the vibrant market town of Keswick. Separate vegan menu of pizzas and/or tapas. It's popular and you can't book so be prepared to wait if they're busy but the staff are friendly and you can have a drink whilst you wait. The food did take a while to arrive but it was top quality.

The square orange serves excellent tapas and pizza. They have great specials options, too. Try the cocktails! They don't take bookings so either get there early, or be happy to wait for a table while you enjoy a drink

Buzzing atmosphere - great selection of ales and continental beers on draught. I had a really first class vegan pizza, which are stone baked to order. Staff worked their socks off to take care of everyone. Will definitely be visiting again.

Have been a few times now - the atmosphere and food has been great every time. The pizzas are super thin and crispy and we have had tapas as well. It’s such a tiny kitchen it’s amazing what emerges. Always with a big smile.

Points for vegan menu but that's it - Edit
I had pizza marinara and a garlic bread. Both were incredibly dry and just snapped into shards. The base was too thin even for a Napoli style pizza and they were badly in need of a LOT more oil and sauce.

Read moreA vegan menu was available, but I hapilly ordered a vegan option off the main menu (Marinara pizza) and added some mushrooms and red pepper.
I was offered vegan cheese but they accepted my request of posh toast.
The pizza sauce was absolutely beautiful, very fresh homemade feels to it. Would definitely go there again if I was in the area.
The wine menu was clearly labelled for vegan drinks as well

Cozy restaurant, only seats 3/4 bubbles in these Covid times. Ingredients were fresh, gorgeous bread! I had the 3/4 vegan tapas options which were all lovely, my partner had the vegan pizza which was thin and fresh, not overloaded with cheese. Enjoyed our time but wouldn’t go back personally as feel we’ve eaten the menu!

My husband and I went in for a reading & coffee date. He had a latte and I had a chai latte. I ended up being very jealous of his latte because it was so good. My chai wasn’t the best, unfortunately, but I still really enjoyed our visit there. The staff were very friendly and easy to talk to. They had a good selection of plant mills and some nice looking vegetarian and vegan options. I would like to go back sometime to try the food!

We ordered pizza and nachos and both were delicious. Fast and friendly service. Good adherence to covid safety and beautifully clean bathroom. Lovely atmosphere and managed to squeeze us in as a walk in despite being very busy. Dog friendly.

Great Vegan Options - Edit
I was happy to see vegan options on the menu, so whilst on a weekend away in Keswick it was the perfect opportunity to visit. There is no booking system at Square Orange, its a first come first serve basis, so we had a drink at the bar, but the staff had it all under control and we were sat down within about thirty minutes.
Read moreI enquired about vegan friendly wines prior to our visit and was impressed how quickly the owner came back with the information, so I chose a very nice bottle of Mezza Corona Pinot Grigio.
We shared patatas bravas and vine leaves to start, with the patatas packing a proper punch of chilli in a top notch tomato sauce and the vine leaves were very tasty too.
I chose a simple Marinara pizza for mains and a Marinara with artichokes, mushrooms and vegan cheese on for hubby.
The pizzas were fantastic, a lovely crisp base, not too thick or doughy, plenty topping with an excellent tomato sauce full of flavour, we could not fault them.
I highly recommend Square Orange, it is a buzzing informal venue, with great food and ambience and obviously others agree, as the place was packed.
