The Southern V

Really great food. We got there just in time to get some of the last meals available. Great sliders and the slaw was delicious. Really friendly service too, couldnt do enough to help us out cant wait to go back.

I can't say enough about how great the food is at this place. It's a family-owned and operated business with great customer service and amazingly insane vegan fare. The faux chicken is bursting with flavor, whether "hot" or "not", and the biscuits and waffles are pretty tasty too. The jackfruit nachos and mac n cheez are delicious as well. All of the vegan sweet treats are exceptional. In fact their baked goods are the best in town IMO.

The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because the first time I went I wasn't prepared for the cost due to no pricing on the website or on the white board posted outside. Because the food is a bit pricy, it's nice to have the luxury of knowing how much to plan on spending in advance. As a vegan I expect to pay more when eating at a vegan restaurant, as the ingredients are often more expensive. But I'd rather not be shocked at the window when it's time to pay. Otherwise, this place is rather amazing!!

The hot chicken biscuit is so good I can't even explain! The perfect amount of spicy for me. Also the donuts and desserts are delicious. I've also had the ribz and Mac and cheez which were also to die for! Everyone who works there is so kind and wonderful. Also I've been given hot chocolate while waiting during some chilly mornings which is just too kind! Could not recommend this place more!

Hands down, the most delicious vegan meals I have ever tasted in my life!!! And the service is un-matched. Simply exquisite.

I just finished gobbling up the fried chik'n with mac and cheese and green beans. Delicious! Southern vegan comfort food- yes! And I love that it's run out of a little house, family owned and operated and you can only get it to go. Sit in your car and chow down! That totally adds to the authenticity and simplicity, to me. Love love!

The Southern V makes some of the most delicious vegan food I have ever had! It is all comfort food, and perfect. We usually get breakfast there. Love the steak and waffles, and I haven't had any baked goods from them that weren't excellent. This weekend we went by for dinner and were blown away by their holiday themed fall menu!
I really don't know how they make their fried "chick'n" but it is so delicious. We also had dressing, sweet potatoes, mac and cheese and green, all equally good.
Keep in mind, this is all take out, but there are some tables to eat at if you don't want to take it home. They are also new and working on serving logistics. It gets better every time we go. This is a small family business and they could not be nicer.
My only wish is that they were open during the week! I'm hoping with their continued success they will be able to expand and have more hours. My favorite vegan place in Nashville, hands down!
