Brunch and main menu both yummy - Edit
I’ve had SV food twice before their move and twice after. It always tastes good. I prefer more veggies in my food, but as an occasional treat, the vegan versions of animal products can be yummy. Please note that after the move, SV raised their prices like most small businesses have had to do.

Beyond expectation! The philly cheesesteak was incredible, so flavorful and the cheese was warm and gooey and soo crave worthy; great alternative to a tender steak and the peppers and onions and mushrooms were cooked perfectly from the grill. The sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy and thick . The hostess and waitress were both very nice and welcoming. My boss loved her burger, and said it was a great "smash burger" style with a "runny" fried egg! I cannot wait to come back and try the ribs next!

Good for meat replacements - Edit
This restaurant recently moved from a small space near me to a fancy new space downtown. I didn't stop here often because it is mostly fancy veggie burgers and greasy meat replacements. There aren't healthy dishes on the menu. The service was also traditionally apathetic so I usually got carry out only. Hopefully that will be better in the new space. The food is very good but I'd like to see actual vegetable dishes.

I have only been to this location once, but it was very good. There are healthy options and not so healthy options, but both were exceptionally tasty! I had the bbq ribs with collard greens and onion rings. Be prepared for them to make your food. I waited about 20-25 minutes to order and have food prepared. It's totally worth the wait.

Initially, I was very excited to try the food at this restaurant. Unfortunately, I had a horrible experience. I had a pickup order. It was difficult to hear the person taking my order due to noise. I am not sure if it was a bad phone connection. The person I spoke to on the phone did not seem knowledgeable about the menu. When I got to the restaurant music was blasting and it took a while to pay for my order. Overall I just felt very unwelcome. The atmosphere did not seem like a restaurant to me, but more like someone's private backyard bbq. When I drove into the parking lot there we're women barbecuing and smoking right in front of the parking area. The food was not that great especially for the price. I have had much better experiences at other vegan restaurants. I am hesitant to give the restaurant a second chance because my first experience was so bad.

My husband and I have been here twice. The food was great both times. The second time we went, they were out of several menu items that we ordered, but I think the owner is doing a lot of the work herself, so I wasn't upset. She's doing a great job! My husband loved the bac'n on the burger.

Really exceptional, homemade food! Our table ordered the fish sandwich, chicken sandwich, a burger with bacon guac etc, and the rib meal with mac n cheese and truffle fries. Ranks up there as the best vegan food I've had. Rib meal was expensive and not that large, but oh how I've missed ribs!

I get tired of all the vegan 'restaurants' out there serving mostly fried vegetable 'plant-based' faux meats they buy from outside, and also lacking any kind of actual vegetable!
Read moreBut the Soulful Vegan was an unexpected surprise - I had their home-made jackfruit ribs, they were excellent, great taste, the BBQ sauce was fantastic ... and the sides included nicely spiced fresh steamed broccoli and collards with cabbage, as well as great truffle fries.
I'll definitely come back whenever I'm in the Akron area!
Only negative - everything is served in disposable plates etc ... but styrofoam?! Charge $1 more per meal and use biodegradeables!
