Delicious - Edit
I had the vegan breakfast here and it was absolutely delicious. Fast service and hot food, and a perfect place for both vegan and omni’s to eat. Would definitely go back

Hit and miss - Edit
Have been to eat in a couple of times and also had takeaways, they used to have an extensive vegan menu but the last few times we have gone to get takeaway there has been nothing vegan available. The eat in menus are quite confusing as they have different things on different days and some have better vegan options than others, some things we have had have been lovely though, and they do smoothies and coffees with vegan options. It’s a very small venue to eat in, so if you get a loud table of people it can be quite overbearing and you can hear everything but if quiet is lovely.

Avoid if you appreciate good service - Edit
My partner and I went to Ey Up Duck recently for my birthday meal. She had been before but it was my first time.
Read moreAfter we had been sat waiting for a few minutes someone came to take our drinks orders. A few minutes later our drinks arrived. An inexperienced waiter handed me a drink and lingered awkwardly without saying anything. He then proceed to say "I don't know what this is but I think it's yours". We both found this to be very odd. Then we were told that there would be a 45 minute wait. This was not ideal but we agreed that this was fine.
An older couple who sat on the table next to us asked if anyone was coming round to take drinks orders, as they has been sat there for quite a while without being seen to. No one went to take their order. The gentleman went to the bar and was stood there for a while without being served. They were only then made aware of the wait time for food so they decided to leave.
Then another inexperienced waiter came to take our food order and said "what do you want"? We again found this to be awkward and very unprofessional. I ordered a vegan burrito. The food eventually turned up but I wasn't brought any cutlery. I had to go to the bar to ask for some and queried our second drinks order (again another awkward experience with an inexperienced waiter) I was then asked who took my order. Turns out the waiter hadn't even passed our order on to the bar staff. The drinks eventually came but my pint didn't taste like what I had ordered.
In terms of the food, it was tasty but towards the end of the meal when I actually tasted what I thought was vegan cheese on its own I was convinced that it was dairy cheese.
The service was noticeably bad. The staff were mostly very inexperienced which would be fine if someone was running the show but it clearly wasn't happening. Staff were stood around behind the bar talking instead of providing a quality service to customers. I have very rarely left anything other than a positive review for a restaurant but this review was warranted. It was bad to the point that my partner apologised for picking this place for my birthday meal which she shouldn't have felt the need to do.
This service was in stark contrast to a meal we had the week before at a curry house in Congleton.
I would also be wary of reviews posted on new accounts made for the sole purpose of reviewing this place.
Needless to say we won't be back.

Appalling - do not bother! - Edit
I have previously been here for dinner one day so took my partner for his birthday. When we got there we were told there was an Abba tribute upstairs which we thought nothing of. We waiting 10 minutes for anyone to even bring us a menu once seated. We ordered drinks and a clueless waiter brought my partners pint over and just said “I don’t know what this is but think it’s yours”. We then waited another 15 minutes to order our food. When ordering food all we got is a “what do you want?” Which I found extremely rude but nonetheless we ordered for the waiter to come back from the kitchen and say “there’s a bit of a wait is that alright?” Which we agreed to, he then came back a second time to say it’s be 45 minutes, we were already there so stayed and ordered another round of drinks. Just under 45 minutes went by and our food came, but no drinks and no cutlery my partner had to go and ask for that as well. My partner had to go up to the bar to ask where they were but no one had even given our order to the bar. My food was impeccable, I had the cauliflower katsu, it was super fresh and tasty. My partner on the other hand had the vegan burrito which you can also have as a veggie options and I cannot confirm this is the case but he is sure the cheese wasn’t vegan cheese. The venue is too small to hold big events and serve diners as well. The service is shoddy and needs improvement, I don’t expect to see 4 members of staff stood around behind the bar having a chat when people are waiting to be served. If more experienced waiting staff were brought in this place could be amazing but I definitely would not return.

Friendly place with proper tasty food - Edit
If I could give 5 stars, I would. However I'm not allowed to give 5 stars if it's not a fully veg or vegan restaurant.
Read moreThe staff were so welcoming and I felt like my lifestyle wasn't a chore, but rather celebrated. I'm not going to lie, my partner had a dish and questioned whether it was actually vegan as it was so nice. The chef was kind enough to go through the dish and the products they use. I had a vegan Katsu and my partner had the vegan paella. I saw on their menu they even have vegan breakfast options including vegan pancakes. My nephew is dairy and egg free as he has loads of allergies, and they cater towards him when he's in for breakfast. They also do loads of vegan coffees and vegan wines. Definitely recommend. Love ey up!
PS Told them vegans want desserts too. Let's see what they do next ;-)
Pros: great food, allergy friendly, vegan drinks
Cons: not a lot of vegan desserts
