Stopped off for brunch and was not disappointed. Fresh and delicious food, lovely staff and quirky cosy cafe. Breakfast burger was amazing (add the haggis!), french toast (with the caramelised fruit), cappuccino, hot choc (cream and marshmallows of course) and 2 cakes to take away... All delicious and at just over £40 not too pricey either for the excellent quality. Can't wait to return !!

I’ve been to The Sky Fox on numerous occasions, and it’s never let me down. With a creative menu blending Scottish and Eastern European flavours, plus the warm and welcoming atmosphere, it’s always worth a visit.

Wonderful vegan breakfast - Edit
This is such a lovely place to have breakfast! My wife had the goulash and I the scrambled tofu. Both were excellent. Coffee and tea drink selection and nice cakes as well! The service was outstanding! Lots of gluten-free options as well. Our server was a true ray of sunshine who just makes your day! Highly recommend giving The Sky Fox a try.

We had: scrambled tofu with spinach and "eggy" bread, b*con, maple syrup and caramelised fruit. Both were delicious.
We would love to come back for the full breakfast and more...
We saw others having lunch and that looked nice too.

Firstly this was a warm spot on a cold day. Stumbled on it when looking for a warmer cafe as the vegan one we intended to eat at was freezing. This was around the corner. So glad we found it. Great space and delicious food. Loved the mix of Eastern European, Scottish and English. Chai Latte was amazing.

This place specialises in Czech food as well as having more typical brunch/lunch options. We went for the Czech options as it’s not everyday you get to try something like this. We got the potato pancakes, deep fried oyster mushrooms, cabbage balls (bit of a spicy kick, balanced with sourness of the pickles) which were all tasty and filling. We also had a Chai latte, a hot elderflower drink, and a slice of coffee and walnut cake to take away. Lovely place to visit #Veganuary

Favourite cafe in Edinburgh - Edit
I thank my lucky stars on a near-weekly (and sometimes more frequent!) basis that Sly Fox is my local spot for lunch/brunch/coffee. Because it’s honestly my favourite — so much love and thought goes into every single item on their menu and the flavours and combos are second to none! Most dishes are expertly paired with delicious fermented/pickled sides. I’ve eaten a fair few different dishes there over the past couple of years and they never disappoint.

I'm visiting Edinburgh and I came here with my Omni friend. I had a filled croissant and my friend had the soup and tempeh sandwich. Both were delicious! The ingredients were fresh and plentiful. The croissant in particular was crispy and well baked. A must visit if you're in Edinburgh for a delicious lunch.

A must-try experience for your trip to Edinburgh. Here and Black Rabbit are the two most innovative vegan restaurants in all of Edinburgh! Loved the take on Czech classics and the venue was warm, beautiful and exactly what we needed on a rainy Edinburgh day. The highlight was definitely the potato pancakes, I can’t remember what they were called but they were absolutely amazing. Big shoutouts to the French toast, the quesadilla and the veggie breakfast.

What a fantastic place. Today was my first visit but it definitely won't be the last. I had a breakfast burger and my companion had a croissant with haggis, bacon and cheese. We both enjoyed the food which was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful and just for a bonus they sell Fritz-kola which is one of my favourite colas and not easy to find.
